The Temple II, Mindo

Huge rooms in a beautiful location. I loved hanging out in the hammock and watching the birds. Bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is huge. They made me breakfast which suited my dietary requirements which was greatly appreciated. The staff are all really lovely.

It's about 15 minute walk into town, which I didn't mind, but is a consideration. My room had an attached hammock and lounge area bit, but other guests would often use my hammock and look directly into my bedroom. I think it could be explained a little better at check-in which areas belong to which rooms.

Beautiful place full of nature, very good view. Friendly people and MIT. The place is very comfortable, close to the city and economic activities and very good organization. Thank you to everyone.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The woman who cooked our breakfast each morning was so kind. It was lovely chatting to her. The rooms were lovely and clean. Our room was also super spacious. It was a fantastic place to spend a few nights in Mindo. It’s about a 15min walk from the town but it is a nice walk and there are plenty of birds in this area. We loved our stay. Safe, quiet & tranquil place to stay in Mindo, I would highly recommend.

We didn’t realise there was not a manned reception so when we arrived to the locked gate we were a bit confused. But once we text the property they were there very quick so it was not an issue. The hotel do message you to ask about your arrival time but we just arrived a bit early so this was the only reason there was nobody there. The gate was actually very good in the end because the property feels very safe.

The room was nice and had a great view. The bed was comfortable and had a good size. The personnel was friendly and welcoming.

They had a lot of tours available, but we didn’t know until we arrived, so we had already booked the things we wanted to do, but that is how it is. It’s located a bit outside of town, so beware og that when booking - you’ll have to walk or take a taxi around.

The location near the center but also in a calm area near the river/jungle. The rooms are big, the bathroom has hot water.

We paid for full laundry service (washing machine + drying), but the clothes we got were still wet (like just took out of the washing machine). It created a lot of trouble since we were obliged to move to the next hotel with the clothes pinned allover the car/ luggages.

The accommodation is a little outside the town but therefore you have a lot of wildlife around you. Everything was clean and comfortable. Also the staff was really friendly. There was a water outage in the Region during our stay and the staff relocated us to The Temple I so that we could still enjoy our stay. Many thanks again for this effort.

There is not a real reception that is occupied, so you need contact the staff via phone which sometimes took a little while to get a response.

There was a big flexibility with our check in and check out, the staff was kind and also waited for us to make a breakfast and helped us to find a guide for bird watching.

It can be not so practical for some because there is no reception and you have to communicate your check in time via WhatsApp.

The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The whole temple was beautiful and provided a sense of peace. The receptionist, was amazing and gave wonderful recommendations. We enjoyed our stay very much and will most definitely stay here again when we return!

My boyfriend really wished there was a television in the room and maybe a fan for when it is a little warmer during the day.
