Sophienhof Lodge

Les lodges sont très beaux, très bien équipés, alliant l'architecture traditionnelle et le confort. Le wifi est très bon, ce qui est rare en Namibie. Mais ce qui m'a vraiment surprise, c'est la qualité de la nourriture, que ce soit pour le dîner (lasagne d'oryx et steack d'élan) ou le petit déjeuner. Cécilia est une excellente cuisinière.

Un excellent repas, un bon petit déjeuner, une chambre confortable, une belle ambiance et jolie décoration. Et enfin un game drive fabuleux !

Prachtige ligging met hele mooie game drive. Eten was heerlijk.

Ontbijt qua vruchten was iets minder maar eieren, broodjes etc heel goed.

We loved our stay at this beautiful lodge! The staff were super helpful, and the food was delicious. The game drive was fantastic, and meeting the ostriches was a highlight. The peaceful surroundings and stunning wildlife made it a perfect retreat. Highly recommended!

Very peaceful location, feels very homely. Breakfast was good. Nice little waterhole close by where you can see a few animals from the farm coming to drink. The chef introduced the dinner and explained a few things about the local people's food tradition, which was really interesting.

Dinner was included in the price but perhaps there could have been a little bit more choice / overall quality improved a bit.

Lovely cottage rooms equipped with all modern conveniences. Comfy beds and good shower. Excellent dinner and the best rolls for breakfast that we've eaten in Namibia. Nice to see some of the animals wandering around the property and some great birds on the feeder table at breakfast. Only took an hour to get to Etosha on a paved road. Would have liked to stay longer to join one of the lodge's safaris.

Everything was excellent, stellar service from Wilhelm and Mina! - Room: 5/5 (clean, nicely designed, spacious, fridge and kettle in the room, cotton bedsheets and hot water in the shower available anytime) - Property: 5/5 (well kept, garden constantly being cleaned and decorated by staff, cute animals roaming around giving you a special safari feeling) - Food: 5/5 (buffet style, vegetarian options available, staff was happy to accommodate any special dietary requests) - Internet: 5/5 (strong WiFi available in the main reception area, no Internet in the rooms but this was not a problem to us) - Service: 5/5 (Wilhem and Mina seemed like they were trained for a 5 stars hotel, very professional and attentive, but most importantly so so genuine in the way they are helping their guests, we can totally imagine them both in any 5-star hotel because the level of service they provided was really second to none) - Safari: 5/5 (Guide was communicative and knowledgable, he was also funny making it relaxing and enjoyable for all of us onboard, you can see cheetah, rhinos, giraffe, zebras, oryx, wilderbeast, hippo etc)

Very friendly staff, my kids played with the owners kids and had a really good time. Dinner was simple but very good. The views were very nice and the rooms were very spacious.

The road towards the property is terrible, but I guess when you do a roundtour in Namibia the car you drive is automatically capable of handling that. We were unlucky with the amount of mosquito's in the room.
