Larnach Lodge & Stable Stay

Being able to stay onsite at the castle was amazing.

Fabulous place to stay for a night and really enjoyed the 4 course dinner. Breakfast included was great.

Wonderful unique historic location and buildings. Beautifully restored. Excellent service and superb food (at dinner and in the cafe). Staff friendly and helpful with advice about the castle and the surrounding attractions! Comfy lodge room with a stunning view.

The fireplace in the café area smelled of woodsmoke very strong smell from the fireplaces. If you are sensitive to smoke smell with allergies, then this is a concern.

Beautiful views and location. Room was warm and clean and had a great shower. Breakfast was fantastic

Everything was amazing. The dinner excellent. The room was wonderful with amazing views.

The most spectacular view from my room window! Underfloor heating in the period perfect bathroom. The rooms decor & furniture true to the style of the Castle. The helpful, informative, friendly staff. The atmospheric ballroom cafe with its lovely selection of food. And, of course, the wonderful garden.

There are tea & coffee facilities in the room but a couple of plates & knives would have been nice for those late night cheese & crackers, lol.

Breakfast and staff service, gardens and location superb

Size of beds too small. Comfy for one but not for two. Height of the walls in the room was so low that you would hit your head easily. Showering in a shoebox with no window. Coffee out of a machine didn’t taste good. New Zealand has such good coffee not using the regular standard or option of plunger felt a bit strange given the rest was great.

The breakfast was fantastic, and it was included in the room rate which was amazing!

I think you need better definition between the lodge and the stables, the photo's were of the lodge rooms, maybe add saome of the stable rooms so people know what they are booking! But amazing value for money in the stables.
