Sigiriya Hillside View Villa

- La familia anfitriona es encantadora. Se preocupa por ti y porque estés bien en todo momento (a veces puede que incluso en exceso) y te ayudan a organizar el viaje y a reservar actividades o transportes. - El tamaño de la habitación era bastante bueno, todo estaba muy limpio y el aire acondicionado funcionaba correctamente.

- La ubicación. Es verdad que no se ve Sigiriya Rock directamente desde el alojamiento, pero sí desde la carretera y la entrada a este (las vistas son muy bonitas). Pero es una zona bastante alejada de la calle principal donde se encuentran los restaurantes y Sigiriya Rock. En el alojamiento te insisten en que es muy peligroso volver más tarde de las 20:30 de la tarde por la presencia de elefantes salvajes. Tampoco se puede salir muy pronto por la mañana (para ver el amanecer) por el mismo motivo. Eso, sumado a la baja cobertura de internet y que a veces falla el wifi, puede dificultar bastante actividades como ir a alguna de las rocas a ver el amanecer, ya que no se pueden contratar servicios como pickme y al ser una zona alejada del centro no hay tuktuks cerca que puedas parar. - Es una zona residencial de gente local y de camino al centro caminando me encontré con bastantes perros callejeros que ladran bastante y pueden parecer agresivos, hay que tener cuidado. - El desayuno.

We stayed here for 2 nights. This gem of a place is excellent value. Our room with private bathroom was spacious and more than adequate. Simple, but very clean. Had both AC and fan. The bed is queen-sized, with a mosquito net. The hosts were gracious and caring. They were very communicative. Breakfast had sizeable portions, varied daily, and was very delicious. The location of the villa is very convenient to tourist attractions and there are good restaurants on the same stretch of road. Yet the surroundings were incredibly peaceful. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone staying in Sigiriya.

Schöne Zimmer mit Terrasse, umgeben von einem wunderschönen Garten in ruhiger Lage. Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die Familie, der das Anwesen gehört: unfassbar liebe, hilfsbereite und aufmerksame Menschen, die sich sehr viel Mühe geben, um den Aufenthalt so schön wie möglich zu gestalten. Ich kann die Unterkunft uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Great stay! The family are amazing and very accommodating. Breakfast is great, the bed is comfortable. Good bathroom. Highly recommend

The son and mother were lovely. My bike broke down he helped me take it to a garage to fix it. It was also raining hard so he took me on his tuk tuk to get dinner as there were none available: breakfast was always a spread. And it’s a good location. Highly recommend just for the warm welcome.

Las vistas son muy buenas y la habitación muy cómoda. El jardín muy agradable. La familia prepara un desayuno buenísimo y fueron muy muy amables, nos ayudaron en todo momento. Muchísimas gracias
