Rock Violet Lakefront Cabanas & Restaurent

I'd love my stay! The owner was an excellent host, she made sure everything was ok and was available to help despite it being local holidays which I greatly appreciated. She even welcomed me with homemade sweets. The location is a bit outside of the main city which makes it tranquil and relaxing. You can sit on a balcony and listen to birds and other animals as well as the waves crashing. The guesthouse is only few minutes walk to the beach. The room was clean, spacious, and everything was in working order.

Beautiful place, surrounded by nature with a view on the lagoon, peacocks running around and an amazing beach a 10 min walk away. The a/c was working well. Everything was very clean. The owner was very friendly and prepared the best food I had in Sri Lanka.

WiFi was not working well

We stayed at this place With my boyfriend during our Srí Lanka trip, and it was simply perfect. Room was so clean, it had everything we needed, the place was peaceful and had a beautiful garden With a lake. The hospitality was amazing, the lady who owns the place was really sweet and helpful. 😊 Would definitely recommend this place, because it is truly a hidden gem. Thank you for having Us 🙏🏼🇱🇰😊

Very nice location, easy to get to the beach. Owner is a very nice lady who also does everything, including cooking the food, and she is a very good cook. All in all, excellent value for money.

The perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. We had a great stay at this accommodation. The cabanas are located on a beautiful property with a big garden and a nice view of the lagoon. We were able to observe a lots of birds while sitting on the balcony. The room is big, with quiet AC, fan and a big bed. The balcony is just amazing. Besides this the host offered us regularly free benefits like laundry service (which was really good and quick), some fruits, juice or tea. As we arrived there was a technical problem with the WiFi. As the provider didn't show much effort to fix it, Our host just went to the city, changed the provider and set up a brand new router for us within a day. WiFi was running fast and stable afterwards. Thank you for taking care of that. If you go there don't worry about food at all. The host runs a restaurant within a few meters next door. Every dish we had was absolutely delicious and every day she surprised us with little things like a dessert, extra side dish or something else. We can definitely recommend a stay here. One of the best stay in sri lanka for me! The owner was so kind:). Even made me great jam! Love it. She is really good chef, i definitely recommend some of her food. Apartment is in quiet location, perfect for relax! Room has enough spaces, for elecricity you will need converter if you have EU adapters.

It was the nicest and cleanest place from all where we stayed during our trip in Sri Lanka! The room was big, with a large bed, AC and hot water. We had a nice terrace with garden view and we could also hear the waves, the beach is at 7 minutes walk. We could serve breakfast and dinner (but for extra charge) and the food was tasty!

The only minus is that the nearest beach is not accesible for swimming due to the big waves and the property is quite far from a bus station (at about half an hour walk).
