Wow! This was really the best place where we stayed in Sri Lanka. The room is very spacious and clean. There is also a big balcony on which you can overlook the extremely beautiful garden. There are many animals to see and you hear the waves of the ocean. At the beach nearby you can watch the turtles at night laying their eggs. The hostlady, Yashoda, always made sure, that we had everything we needed. She also cooks very good. Breakfast was extensive and also the coffe was really good. The dinner was also perfect and everyday different. We had the luck to stay over singhalese new year and she cooked a traditional dinner for us. That was a great experience. We can totally recommend coming here!

I liked everything in this place. I think I have experienced the Sri-Lankan hospitality at its best. Located in a rural setting, between the two most beautiful beaches in Tangal, this tranquil family run guest house is utterly and completely surreal. Immerse in nature, in this place, you feel transported in another world: "a magic world". The bedroom, as well as the bathroom, are very spacious and clean. The large balcony, overlooking the beautiful garden and the lagoon, is well shadowed and ventilated. The staff(the young landlady and her little boy) are very attentive, professional and, more importantly, sweet. The meals (breakfast and dinner) are abundant, tasty and beautifully presented. The fauna surrounding the house is alive and kicking. The sound of the crushing waves, in the background, reminds you that the sea is "right there" and it is waiting for you.. so catch the beach towel and make an effort to leave the balcony 😄

We loved our stay at Rock Violet Cabanas. The host is very accommodating and helpful. She cooks very good food, too so make sure to have dinner at least once! The garden is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. So many beautiful flowers and you see peacocks every day, it's magical... You're a 5min walk away from the beach which is super calm (hardly anybody there). You can rent a scooter from the host to go to Tangalle town and other places. The room was very clean when we arrived and the terrace is so nice!

A squeegee in the bathroom would be very helpful to remove the water and keep the bathroom clean. WiFi was also not good (especially in the evening), which made it difficult for us to work.

The place and host are great! One of the cleanest places in Sri Lanka we've been to, with nice and huge garden, in a cottage sourranded by plants, birds and in a walking distance to the beach. It's good to have a bike there to go to the city, but if you want just to stay in the area and relax, you'll get everything you need - the owner makes very nice food and she helped us with everything we needed (and even more). We felt very welcome here and deffinitely come back if we'll have a chance.

Beautiful Rock Violet . We were blown away by hospitality on arrival - drinks and snacks sat outside enjoying the garden well presented gardens. The food is amazing. This host goes above and beyond to prepare not only incredible tasting food but presentation was beautiful. Host was so friendly and at hand if we needed anything. Outside the cabanas downstairs you are welcomed by the lovely mural and then leading into the spacious bedroom area. The property was so clean and smelt nice, lovely big bed, AC and spacious bathroom. The WiFi worked well and a walk away from shop and beach . We would have wished to stay longer and highly recommend to others... you will not be disappointed with value . Thanks again
