Amazing stay, in beautiful accomodation and surrounds, with the swimmable River.

We stayed in Puntjie, which definitely needs an aircon or fan in the kitchen/lounge area where there are 2 additional beds, as it was unbearable to sleep and we had to move the mattress into the air-conditioned rooms.

Beautiful accommodation. The cabins are equipped with everything you need. The views are spectacular and the stars at night amazing. The staff prepared a delicious braaibox which is definitely worth ordering. They were also very friendly and provided information about all the available hiking routes. Rowing in the river and relaxing on the riverbank under the trees were also a treat. We enjoyed a deliciously prepared breakfast at the restaurant on our last morning. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for making 3 days feel like 3 weeks. 😊

Gebuchte guided Sundowner Tour wurde zuerst trotz Bestätigung per Email nicht in der Lodge notiert. Später wurde die Tour wegen fehlendem Guide komplett abgesagt. Sehr schade! Außerdem werden die permits für Stadsdaal Cave/ Truitjeskraal nicht mehr von der Lodge ausgestellt. Eigentlich nicht der Fehler der Lodge. Die Info dass man am Gate die permit erhalten kann war dann aber falsch. Wir wurden nach sehr holpriger Anfahrt nicht reingelassen. Deshalb besser direkt online bei Cape Nature registrieren und permit buchen. Am besten Screenshot machen, da vor Ort kein Netzempfang ist!

Location and activities on the property were excellent. We loved the riverside hangout spot, the kayaks and the walks.

Despite generous room sizes, our bed was small and uncomfortable. There was no internet in the rooms. Whilst the food was delicious, a set menu operated with evening meals, meaning no guest choice. While some experienced staff were knowledgeable and excelled in their customer manner and service, others seemed unused to guest interactions and were not forthcoming in providing information or picking up on basic guest requirements; drinks were not offered, service was very slow, menus not explained. Advertised services were unexpectedly unavailable as guides were away.

Die Hütten sind auf der Farm verteilt, wunderbar gelegen, perfekt ausgestattet.
