Exceptionally well thought out lodge, ideal for hikers on the move. Luxurious comfort to recharge and relax and functionality of kitchenette area with kettle, fridge microwave. All the facilities to restock the lunchbox for the next day.

The accommodation was a large timber pod with its own shower room. The owners had put a lot of thought into the interior. It was very well thought out and every possible amenity was catered for. The bed was very comfortable with proper lighting for bed-time reading- something which is a big problem in many places. Despite the small internal space, there was plenty of room to put things. The owner took me down to the local restaurant for an evening meal and picked me up afterwards.

Due to the design of the pod, the space outside was very small, not too bad for me as a single guest but problematic for a couple I should think.

Cute wee pods overlooking a lovely courtyard. Breakfast brought to you on a tray. Everything you need and more.

The owners could not do enough for us. They were friendly and very kind.

Maybe a more signage as you come off the Hadrians Wall route to guide you to the Lodge.

Very close to the Hadrian’s Wall path, beautifully, cozy, clean, friendly hosts

Not walking distance restaurants but hosts offer transportation to local pubs, restaurants. Not an issue if you have a car.

Bed and breakfast were great as well as staff

We were blown away when we saw our “pod”. It was far more beautiful, spacious, and luxurious than it had any right to be.
