"Comfortable and easily accessible"

The owners were very friendly and helpful! The Indian place nearby didn't deliver there, which was suggested before, but they were so great to pick it up for us!! The lodge had everything we needed and the teas available were lovely. Also very close to Hadrians Wall.

The lodge was a bit dark inside. It also felt a bit weird at first to be in someone's garden, but it didn't really bother us.

"Stop on Hadrian's Wall National Trail"

Staying in a lodge was a unique . It was very private and comfortable. The property owners were very friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast served in the lodge.

No shops close by.

"If you are walking the wall you couldn’t get a better place to stay"

We loved everything about our stay - from the lovely welcome from Nigel to the accomodation that was clean, comfortable , and had everything we could possibly need. Nigel even picked up our dinner for us as we were walking Hadrians wall and then cooked a delicious breakfast the next morning.

there was nothing to dislike at all :)

Nigel was a wonderful host and nothing was too much trouble! Beautiful lodges and roomier than expected, with a great shower. Nigel recommended the Roman Army Museum that was excellent and well worth a visit (I doubt we would have gone if he hadn’t mentioned it). Breakfast was delicious as well! Thank you for looking after us Nigel!

Nigel was fantastic! He really made us feel welcome, he even brought us fruit cake on arrival!....and offered to pick us up from the pub! The lodges are superb, 2mins walk from hadrians wall path and 10 mins from the Greenhead Hotel where you can get a pint and a good meal. It was an excellent experience all round!
