Pondok Bali Cottage

Very nice place with a lovely people managing it who make you feel at home. They offered themselves to drive me anywhere I needed as I did not have a motorbike. Very recommended :)

The owner is a very attentive couple who are always trying to help and make you feel comfortable. The cottage is on top of a hill and the owner offers you to take you up and down to close places for free. Also you can get amazing and cheap food from the restaurant in the property. There are 4 or 5 choices for breakfast and all of them are delicious. They can organize the sunrise hiking to mount Batur for a good price with a local guide.

Great place to stay if climbing Mount Batur, or even to enjoy the area. The owner are super nice, the rooms are nice and clean, and the swimming pool is perfect to have a fresh break. The food in the warung is also very good.

The owner and co-owners were very welcoming, and helpful. We used a lot of google translate but it was doable. The view was gorgeous, the breakfast was included , it was simple but delicious, i liked the banana pancakes and scrambled eggs. The pool was nice, natural water, the bed was comfortable, pillows were soft and bouncy. They also had hot shower and bidé for the toilet. The co-owner Radia was very kind and drove me everywhere needed, since the cottage was up in the mountain area, the transport was included. He also drove me to hot natural springs, where he was a member and the price was discounted because of it. He also suggested and drove me to Montana cafe, a must see, the place had a really good asian style mushroom dish, and the view towards mount Batur is breathtaking. You can take pictures there in a seemingly suspended net, Radia obliged with lots of shots. Radia also was the mountain guide to catch the sunrise on mount Batur. He was very good at taking pictures and he really liked doing it, a girls dream in photography. He also helped me when i couldnt climb, so i felt very well taken care of. All in all a very good value for price, and helpfulness.

The establishment is not at fault, but there are roosters roaming around in that village and were kind of noisy during the night. Also the area has flies, so you had to constantly swat them away, eating or not, but its like that everywhere on the mountain and not a fault of the owner.

The helpfull people and the amazing location/cozy and comfortable houses for out trip to climb the batur.

Service was excellent, room and facilities as what we expected. We arrived a bit late and the staff helped to lead us to the hotel location. Breakfast is provided with limited menu, but it's a home cooked meal so no complaint! A bit cold during the night and early morning, bring a light sweater.

The road leading to the hotel is a bit rough as it is inside the village.

We really enjoyed our stay at "Pondok Bali Cottage"! The cottage was comfortable and hygienic, the food delicious and the swimmingpool so refreshing. The staff was lovely and very helpfull. They arranged a hike to Mount Batur and a taxi service to our next destination in Bali. You really feel like a member of their family. Thanks 🙏

Pretty location in amongst onion fields, room was large and nice, pool area very cute and very recently built. Very close to mt batur, just outside of the town. Staff were great and Wayan, their nephew, spoke English very well and was very knowledgeable. They arranged the hike for us with a guide and transport, as well as a driver to the next location who knew the local roads and we cut an hour off the trip.

The shower head in our cottage needed to be replaced and there are a few flies because of the onion fields.

Nice place. Beautiful view. The staff was very nice. Wayan was very helpful. He showed us around and helped us with scheduling our program. We would definately recomment it!
