Unawatuna Backpacker Lodge

Very nice place to stay in Unawatuna. Room was spacious, clean and had a very nice shower. There also is a little kitchen area with a Fridge that people could use. It is located among trees so you can see monkeys and cute birds and squirrels up close. There is a short walking distance to the shops, restaurants and beach.

Nice hotel at the end of a quiet side road. Many animals to see: monkeys, lizards, birds. Owner is a chill & uncomplicated dude.

Colazione FAVOLOSA, la migliore avuta in Sri Lanka! Host disponibile, camera semplice e basilare. L’host mette a disposizione un telo per la doccia, vari anti-zanzare. C’è un ventilatore che messo al minimo fa il suo lavoro.

Essendo a ridosso della giungla, la notte si potrebbero sentire alcuni rumori di animali che giocano sul tetto.

Отличное место, понравилось, что немного в стороне от дороги, не шумно. Номера чистые и комфортные. Хочу отметить, что за всю поездку, здесь были самые мягкие и вкусно пахнущие полотенца ), хорошее постельное белье. Хозяин очень отзывчивый и приятный человек. Есть небольшая кухня, холодильник.

Great location as it is in walking distance to beach, relaxing surroundings, and spacious room. Value for money and the host was very helpful.

Large bed, nice vibe with terrace breakfast, sometimes can see animals. Walkable distance to the beach. Breakfast was diverse but small and not to everybody’s taste.

Zero supplies in the room, not even soap and toilet paper. Noisy at night coz some animals were running at the roof. The room description is inaccurate on Booking.com, so be careful. There’s an AC in the room but they don’t give you remote control trying to get extra daily charge for it. It’s written in the description that they have washing machine but in reality it’s inside the host’s house and they want to charge higher than outside laundry for using it. Kitchenette for common use is very outdated, pans and pots are super old, you wouldn’t want to use them for cooking.
