Hunters Lodge With Hot Tub

Nice peaceful site. With private hot tub. Close to near by towns. Malton Pickering. Would go again.

Probably not enough parking space outside the lodge. But no big deal.

The washing machine did not work was full of water with a sign on it saying there was a fault and the owner already knew about it and it needed to be drained but that did not work, broken chair around dining table, patio door did not open, spare bedding was not clean.

There wasn't much to do there for children

We had a lovely stay and the lodge we ended up in met our expectations and was very nice. In particular, a special mention for Michelle at the reception who was wonderful and sorted out a major blunder that was made by the management of these lodges.

Upon arrival we were told that instead of the Malton lodge we had booked, the company had decided to move us, without notice, to allesthorpe. No communication had actually been made to us however, despite them having my number, email, and that we had been speaking via booking.com about the security deposit. The company seemed very dismissive when the lady at reception called to explain that no communication had been made to us, claiming they had called and left a vm, which was untrue. Clearly someone had meant to contact us and forgotten, but no apology was made by management who insisted we just had to pack up and come to the other site an hour away that evening having already driven across the country. Fortunately, the staff member there was very understanding and did not want to send us an hour away with a newborn baby we'd come with. She was able to find us a lodge on site and was very apologetic. The fact that the management had thought it appropriate to try and move our holiday to a completely different site from what we booked was a bit ridiculous, especially as it wasn't hard to find us somewhere on the day, and if reception had been notified earlier that things needed reshuffling, would have been no trouble at all. It is a shame that the company management seemed uncaring as otherwise we had a wonderful stay and the lodge was great accommodation. Hopefully they strive to meet as good a customer service level as their reception staff in future.

Lovely location and nice place to stay

This is the second time we stayed and we were disappointed this time unfortunately. Several of the light bulbs didn’t work, a door handle fell off, two of the blinds were broken and couldn’t be lifted and the en-suite shower was dripping all night tried everything to turn it off. There are only two chairs and a very small table on the balcony so we couldn’t really sit out. There were some people plastic chairs out the back but they were absolutely filthy and covered in cobwebs. The lodge needs an update to keep up with local competition.

The location was beautiful! The lodge is nestled in a forest, and all you can hear are the birds. The lodge was spotless, so clean, beautifully decorated, and much bigger than it looked in the photos. Plenty of room for our family of 4. Lots of cooking utensils and dinner wear etc. Lovely, fluffy towels. The hot tub was such a treat, we were in it every evening. Easy check in with a key box and the communication before was brill. Great lodge for a countryside getaway. I would definitely stay again.

The bed was a little small, but that's probably because we are used to a superking at home, so naturally, a double is going to feel small. Other than that, perfect.

Location and quiet surroundings

It could do with a deep clean skirting boards and doors and the shower and sink were blocked ...clogged with hair but they ain't a major issue

fantastic location for my 30th birthday weekend, cabin was comfortable with lots of space and lovely decoration. well kept and modern.

no full length mirror, washing machine and one of the showers were broken.
