Very helpful family eg gave us a lift to/from the national park (for a fee), lovely gardens, nice undercover outdoor seating area with fridge, comfy bed, near the amazing La Leona waterfall

Lots of ants in room (but not surprising in Costa Rica), shame about lack of kitchen given limited restaurants in the town which all shut early

friendly host, hot shower available, can be easily reached by bus

very basic, hardly any noise insulation, no breakfast offered, rooms centered around a community area -> can be noisy in the evening
