close to Rincon de la Vieja National park. one room had a kitchenette and outdoor covered patio. There is also an indoor patio. Small family run basic accommodation.

The kitchenette was short on dishes and cutlery and pots.. The rooms need to be repainted.

Such a cute place! Loved the backyard and the shared fridge/games. It was family run and they were so sweet, unfortunately my Spanish isn’t great so conversation was limited. They did give me hot water to make tea when I asked :) didn’t realize they offered breakfast or we would have bought that add on!

Be aware it’s cash only and they may struggle to find your stay when you book through an external company like this one - glad they had availability cause I’m not sure we were even on the books, I would call to confirm in future. Like anywhere you stay in Costa Rica, there will be little bugs around. The wifi was giving us trouble at first but got better when we reset it. No air conditioning and the windows open to a shared patio but everyone was respectful so it never bothered us.
