The staff was very friendly! The food was exceptionally good!

Une équipe d’une gentillesse incroyable, tous au petit soin pour nous faire passer le meilleur séjour possible ! On avait une suite sublime perdue dans la savane avec une petite piscine privée ! Les safaris sont le matin et le soirs avec aussi possibilité de passer un petit déjeuner sur le point d’eau ou encore dans la savane. C’était vraiment magique ! Un grand merci à Luan pour l’accueil et l’organisation du séjour ! Un grand merci à à Brightt pour tous les safaris, ses explication et les animaux qu’il nous a montré ! Un grand merci à la cuisinière qui nous a concocté de supers plats ! Beaucoup d’animaux dans la réserve de quoi vraiment en avoir plein les yeux 😍 Pas l’ensemble du big five mais ce n’était pas grave et on a eu l’occasion d’aller dans la réserve voisine pour en voir certains ☺️ Merci !!!

We had the place and the entire team of 4 staff to ourselves for 2 days. Looked after us so well, including bush breakfasts and sundowners. Saw all the game they had to see, bar the pesky leopard...

Nothing - it was excellent

We have a lovely overnight stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the service throughout the stay was excellent. The room had a beautiful view, which made the stay even more special. They also went the extra mile to arrange and take us on a bush picnic near the dam, which was a wonderful and memorable experience. The food was also very nice and well prepared. We truly appreciated the effort and hospitality and would definitely recommend this stay

Die Lodge an sich ist sehr schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Besonders die Damen vor Ort waren äußerst zuvorkommend und freundlich. Auch Luan war sehr nett zu uns.

Leider gab es im Vorfeld Probleme mit der Kommunikation. Direkt nach der Buchung hatte ich einige Fragen bezüglich meiner Organisation und habe mich dreimal gemeldet. Meine Nachrichten wurden von Francis gelesen, jedoch nicht beantwortet. Erst nachdem ich mich bei Booking gemeldet und um eine kostenlose Stornierung gebeten habe, da ich mich unwohl fühlte, erhielt ich plötzlich sofort eine Rückmeldung und Antworten auf meine Fragen. Das fand ich enttäuschend. Wichtig zu wissen: Die Big Five befinden sich nicht in dieser Lodge. Dafür muss eine separate Tour gebucht werden. Zudem gibt es keine Klimaanlage, es war extrem warm. Auch WLAN ist auf den Zimmern nicht verfügbar. Ein weiterer negativer Punkt war die Situation mit dem Trinkgeld. Wir hatten unsere Wertsachen in der vorherigen Lodge vergessen und konnten daher kein Bargeld geben. Als wir erklärten, dass wir in dieser Situation sind, wollte ich das Trinkgeld mit Kreditkarte zahlen. Stattdessen wurde uns die IBAN gegeben und wir wurden mehrfach gebeten, das Geld jetzt vor Ort zu überweisen. Trinkgeld gehört selbstverständlich dazu, aber in einer Notsituation so unter Druck gesetzt zu werden, empfand ich als unangenehm und unpassend.

We had an incredible time at Maroelani. The manager Alfred was fantastic, the food an absolute highlight (thank you chef), and the game guide Bright was an absolute star. The owner was also present, and super friendly and welcoming, evening offering us a complimentary night. We really appreciate it so thank you. Many thanks to all the team, would highly recommend!!
