"Didn't stop total scam"

Nothing Absolute disgrace,the property is just a scam,didn't get to stop.was told at 1335 on the day of arrival after cycling 95 mile that the room was double booked.no room for me,owner flatly refused to cancel the booking.said I was to cancel to get my money back,if he was to cancel he had to find me alternative accomodation or let booking.com find me a room at his expense,I spoke to booking.com,they would speak to him,he'd tell booking.com the room was available but tell me it wasn't,it was appalling,the owner was playing a game with me as the loser.do not use this accommodation,booking.com should remove this from their site,this is not the first time this has happened.I would end up having to cycle back though the night,it was horrendous,longest night of my life,about finished me off. This owner has no scruples,had no concept of morals or loyalty. Don't go anywhere near this property

Any of the experience. The owner is a scammer. Left me high and dry to fend for myself. Ended with him not answering my calls,would not let me in the property,meet me, A total liar Would tell booking.com the booking was still confirmed but tell me he'd already re let the room after stating it was double booked. Thankfully I have recorded our very brief conversations for future reference. They show the total contempt the property manager has for clients. Would touch this place with a barge pole.

"Best avoid this property and landlord. Awful customer service."

We never stayed in Harewood Lodge. The owner moved us on the same day to another property, claiming it was similar. Obviously he had taken another booking. The place we stayed in (51 London Road) was very noisy, on the main road. My room had broken blinds and a street light was right outside so it was very light. One hanger, no storage space, very run down. Not enough towels, and the owner ignored requests to provide an additional one. Final point: we paid a damage deposit which the owner said he would not return until this review was lodged. A damage deposit clause is not in the Booking terms and conditions. Finally, the descriptors of Harewood Lodge and subsequent booking confirmation was confusing and ambiguous, and we contacted Booking.com to clarify. They did nothing.

"Unwashed bedding!"

Good location and fantastic price. It was nice to have kitchen facilities which included a microwave and kettle. The shower was warm and nothing to complain about there. The beds were fairly comfortable. TV in common area and free WiFi available.

Walking in, there was old takeaway food on the counter and as it turned out, there were no other guests at that time so it had been left for a while. The shared bathroom had toilet paper all over the floor. The room was also unclean inside the drawers. All this could be forgiven if the bedding was at least fresh and clean. The bedding had clearly not been washed between uses, my bed smelt of chip grease and when I turned the pillow over I could smell the previous occupant's shower gel, the other pillow on the other bed smelt of shampoo. The middle of the bed smelt like Febreze so this had clearly been sprayed in the bed to avoid changing the sheets. I think the bare minimum in any place I have ever stayed in the UK is that the sheets are clean, this wasn't the case here so I would advise avoiding this accommodation unless you don't mind smelling like a dirty chip. Cheap and cheerful!

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS"

The fact that it is in no way clear about it being shared apartment. It was not clean at all the fridge is like a mini fridge shoved in a service cupboard. To top it off the shower was broken.

"It was, without a doubt, the worst experience I have had with any accommodation."

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at 17 Harewood Lodge, Kings Lynn, PE30 2BS, booked through Booking.com. It was, without a doubt, the worst experience I have had with any accommodation. I travelled with two colleagues and booked a room for three adults, which clearly indicates the need for three separate beds. However, upon arrival, we discovered that the room had only two beds and an extremely uncomfortable mattress, making it unsuitable for three adults. Additionally, the room was very cold, and there was no access to heating. When I attempted to contact the host to request an extra blanket, I was unable to find any contact number listed on the site. The only visible connection to the host was a camera installed in the kitchen. I attempted to get the host’s attention by waving at the camera, but received no response. Due to the cold temperature and lack of proper bedding, I had no choice but to take a blanket from the adjacent room so that I could sleep on the floor, given the inadequate sleeping arrangements. Shortly after, at 6:00 AM, I received a call from a withheld number. The person—presumably the host—shouted at me, used offensive language, and aggressively threatened to come to the property and throw my belongings out for taking the blanket. I was not even given the opportunity to explain the situation. The call ended abruptly, and I was left with no choice but to vacate the property under duress. To add to this unacceptable treatment, the host also refused to refund the payment for the second night, despite the circumstances being entirely caused by his negligence and lack of hospitality. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also intimidating, hostile, and completely unacceptable. I am extremely disappointed that such a property is allowed to remain listed on Booking.com, and I strongly urge you to review this listing for serious breaches of your platform’s standards.

"Absolutely horrific"

Nothing. I do not recommend to anyone. Avoid at all costs. I didn’t realise that it was 3 separate rooms for other guests and then a shared kitchen and bathroom. Went into the tiny bedroom and realised there was no duvet. I do the most logical thing and contact the owner and their phone is off, which is not good enough when you have guests in your property, what if there was a fire 🔥🤦🏻‍♀️ I guess they’ll find out when the place is burnt to a cinder and on the ground 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️. I then knock on one of the other guests door to discover that she has taken the duvet as she had to double up the twin beds due to being so uncomfortable and it would appear that her poor husband was sleeping on the floor. She gave back the duvet but there was no way I was sleeping with that when god knows what could have happened on it. I then messaged the owner that we were disgusted and were leaving as a result. The message delivered but no response at all. No apology, nothing. I paid £60 and no gesture of a refund or partial refund. The rooms are tiny and the beds are so close to the floor you might as well be sleeping on it. I would not recommend anyone staying here. Yes, it’s cheap but not great if you can’t contact the owner for any queries. Just seems to be a quick money maker for the owner and no give f**ks given.

Avoid Avoid Avoid 17 Harewood drive Kings lynn. Just wanted to give some feedback regarding the stay this weekend in kings lynn, visiting family and friends for my sisters birthday weekend! Contacted property owner of 17 Harewood drive and no refund or partial money offered back due to owner thinking this is up to standard. Bird in the property when we arrived, which left bird poo everywhere. The Fridge/microwave oven so dirty that can not even be used. The back door broken leaving the property very un secure. Not a great start being set up with the key for not even the right property. Spoon and knife found under bedside table in room 3 which i'm sure you can see what this has been used for thankfully we had no children visiting or with us. Bedding and curtains look like they've never been washed and whole property just stinks. Just wanting to give anyone a heads up that's looking to stay in the area please avoid.
