Harewood Lodge - Single and Double Rooms Self Serve Apartment

WARNING! SCAM! DO NOT BOOK OR STAY HERE. There is nothing to like about this property, the host or the booking experience. Luckily, I did like how Booking.com supported me. They have refunded the booking and supported me to stay at a much nicer place at no extra cost.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DO NOT THINK 'OH IT IS A BAD RATING BUT IT WILL BE OK.' The owner will attempt to scam you. See all previous reviews. 2 days before my booking, I sent a message in the Booking.com chat to the property owner to confirm my arrival time. Within a minute, I received a phone call from a rude and aggressive man on a private number. He said that I cannot stay at his property because he is having friends over to stay. I explained yhat I had booked, paid and confirmed my stay so I asked what he meant. He said 'I mean what I say, you can't stay here.'. The call ended. The host stopped communicating via the chat funtion in Booking.com and tried to call me a further 2 times. I did not answer on Booking.com advice as the calls are not recorded and there is no record of the content. The host is not contactable on the number he provides. Customer services confirmed my stay with the host via email, however, I knew from the phone call and previous reviews, that ghis would not happen. Sure enough, I went to check-in. The poorly maintained property was inaccesible. Nobody came to the door to allow me to check-in, nobody answered the contact numbers or emails or app chat. Luckily, I had prepared alternative accomodation in case I could not check-in. Despite being told I could not stay there because he 'had friends coming over', the other rooms in the house remained available to book at 5 times the price I paid. Clearly this was an attempt to cash in on the demad during the summer events, however this attempt has clearly failed. Honesty, integrity and decency always prevail.

Room small , sharing the space with others.overall cleanliness could improve. Need to download an app to enter the property. Basic furniture, I was in room 3 . Didn't sleep well as woke up with animal noises from the animals kept next door. Ok for a short stay.

Location and the onsuit shower.

Looks nothing.lile the pics.. kitchen utility was not clean..don't plan on cooking there. Had to spend extra money than planned to eat out Got a fan but was faulty Abit of tlc and this could me nice to revisit. Is a shame becasue I travle the kings Lyne fornightly

I was robbed by the owner. This is a scandal!!! The owner called me the day before arrival and canceled my reservation asking me to cancel it on booking.com. He did not do the same because he would lose the money I paid. Attention!!! Thief and cheater!!!
