Silver Hill Ecovillage

Perfect relaxing holiday. Amazing views, great food, friendly staff, Well worth the visit. Great value for money. Loved the cocktails. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to experience all activities. You should spend at least 3 days to experience what Silver Hill has to offer.

This is a wonderful spot. A bit difficult to reach over a very bumpy road (drove my own car) but it was worth the effort: Surrounded by forest covered Hills, bird calls and the soft gurgling of the pool, delicious meals with a wonderful view and friendly staff. Fantastic sunsets from the rock which is a short steep climb above the lodgings, I became more and more relaxed during the 3 days and nights of my stay. A wonderful opportunity to tune in to an almost pristine and peaceful Sri Lankan environment.

What a wonderful place!! Relaxing, good food, nature, people. We didn’t have any issue driving to Silver Hill. We spend many days and the most relaxing holiday I’ve ever had. The visit to the temple in memorable with breathtaking views. Tracking within the estate is highly recommended. The host is very helpful. After spending many days and talking to staff I would say. Go if you want to experience nature, local culture, delicious local food, local juices, and cocktails, freshwater swimming pool. Don’t go if you want a place near the main road, carpeted roads all the way (I see comments about the road. The road is one of the best rural roads I have seen), AC in rooms. This is not a standard hotel but an authentic place to experience Sri Lanka.

It’s a very very unique place In the Middle if nowhere…definitely ancient,charmy and with a really good eco concept What’s completely amazing is the natural pool And the stuff was so so kindly and prepare us a really traditional smoky kitchen food Absolutely tasty

The street to this place is definitely crazy only you can com there either a heel or with a car they are higher and have big wheels

The views were amazing, and the little pool was relaxing. Food was quite good, and I enjoyed my cooking lesson. We liked watching the sunset from a rock just above Silver Hill, our walk through the village was also quite nice.

I strongly suggest not taking a car all the way up. Tuk tuk works way better. They are currently working on fixing the road/trail since the dry season is finally here so please check with Silver Hill.

This place is pure magic with that real Sri Lankan vibe and amazing food. We were totally into the atmosphere and the hikes to the temple, village hangouts, and checking out the mountain life with the locals. It's a real-deal experience, and we loved every minute of it. If you're up for something different and off the beaten track, this is the spot! The food is top-notch, and the staff is incredibly helpful. You just feel so welcomed and taken care of. I loved the grilled lake fish with jack fruit seeds.

Driving to the Ecovillage was a breeze for us. Honestly, only someone who's a bit shaky behind the wheel would find it challenging. I don't get why people complain about the road—it's just your typical rural road in Sri Lanka. No big deal!

Location and the surrounding was good. Food was also good.

The entrance road is terrible. It is a very narrow and bumpy road. It doesn’t worth the price. If it is with a reasonable price I think it is good. Average facilities overall.

Hidden gem. This is a treasure. Lovely food, place nature. Everything is perfect! We hope nothing will change here.
