Beautiful location. If you want to get away from all the touristy spots this is your place! The natural swimming pool is very nice.

Nous avons tout aimé dans ce logement. Il s’agissait de notre 1ère nuit au Sri Lanka et quel dépaysement! La piscine qui donne sur la jungle est vraiment belle, le personnel est adorable, le propriétaire se plie en 4 pour que vous passiez un bon moment. Nous avons adoré également le repas et le petit déjeuner. Les enfants (qui sont grands et autonomes) logeaient plus haut dans un lodge avec une vue incroyable... Nous étions quant à nous devant une piscine attenante à la grande piscine. Tout était parfait. J’ai lu qu’il n’y avait pas d’eau chaude dans les commentaires, ce qui est faux. Il suffit de bien allumer le chauffe eau. L’accès est difficile en revanche et il faut appeler avant pour prévoir un tuk tuk. Dépaysement assuré sur le trajet 😄 Ça se mérite!

You get an authentic experience that truly reflects the charm of the place. We requested an upgrade to a room with an outdoor bathtub, and they gave it to us at no extra cost. A dip in the bathtub during sunset was magical and so romantic a moment we'll never forget. The food was brilliant honestly the best we've had in Sri Lanka. It's cooked using cinnamon wood, which adds a subtle cinnamon flavour and a beautiful smokiness.

So beautiful at night, listening to the sounds of animals and watching the stars in the night sky. We absolutely loved the food – it was amazing – and the lemon iced tea and cocktails were perfect. An absolute must if you're travelling to Sri Lanka!

We stayed at the bungalow with the best view and an outdoor bathtub—it was absolutely magical. We spent three unforgettable days here, and it was by far the best part of our trip to Sri Lanka. We had complete freedom, and the entire place has a romantic, almost dreamlike feel. Every evening, we soaked in the bathtub, watching the sunset with a drink in hand. It felt like a second honeymoon. Truly mesmerising.

Silver Hill Ecovillage is a peaceful, eco-friendly retreat deep in the jungle, surrounded by nature, wildlife, and stunning views. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming, offering jungle hikes, village visits, and hands-on cooking experiences. The food is amazing, with fresh, local ingredients and unique Sri Lankan dishes served throughout the day. Accommodation is clean, spacious, and even lets you sleep outdoors on the terrace under the stars—mosquito-free and perfectly comfortable. Tip: If you're a group of 4 or more, book the two-room bungalows. All bungalows are separate from each other, offering extra space and privacy. Most guests extend their stay—as we did. It’s not just a place to sleep—it’s a true cultural and nature experience you won’t forget.

We had a lovely time at Silver Hill Ecovillage. The bungalows are individual units, giving you privacy and freedom, and all have beautiful mountain views. The whole place is unbelievably calm and friendly. After spending many days in busy tourist spots around Sri Lanka, it felt like stepping into a different world. This is a truly authentic Sri Lankan experience that everyone should have at least once in their lifetime. We requested a different bungalow than the one we originally booked, and they happily gave us the one we wanted. We recommend calling them directly when booking, as some other guests did, so they can help match you with the most suitable bungalow for your group. It’s a bit hard to tell which one fits best just from the website descriptions. Also, they have a bungalow with an outdoor bathtub, which looked amazing. Sadly, it was already booked during our stay. Hopefully next time! And the food was amazing — honestly the best we had in Sri Lanka.
