Hilltop Hacienda

First off, book with accurate expectations. This is a loved home, a passion project where as you look around, you can tell that an immense amount of work has/and continues to be put into the space. It isn't 100% yet, but the things that matter are present. A kind and engaging host, an abundance of warmth, be it cozy spots to relax or socialize, to shared food and a full kitchen of supplies. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the nature around the house beautiful. Lots of small handyman projects obviously still in progress, so don't expect some corporate resort polish. Wish I'd had more time to stay.

Not much. But then again, I appreciate supporting local/small endeavors over the plastic vibe of a corp hotel.

Everything was peaceful, quiet, beautiful pool, clean home, very welcome hosts

Hosts were very friendly, and home was immaculate. Area is off the main road and secluded, flowers, deer and trees everywhere giving the area calm and beautiful vibes. Breakfast included should you want to cook fresh eggs from their own chickens or stick with cereal and milk. Shower heated and huge. Pool for your personal enjoyment. Will highly recommend.

Beautiful property and the owner Roman is a very kind person. Everything was clean and comfortable and for the price it’s a great deal .

Off the beaten path. Quiet at night. Homestead style with eggs from chicken. Host open his kitchen to guest. We can eat and use all his food and facilities. Kitchen was clean but note you are sharing with othher guest

Had pool but was not maintained. Not usable during our stay. House is kind of worn-out inside the room. Some things were falling apart. Plenty of clean towels but the second bed pillow and blanket does not sound fresh.

I had a wonderful stay at Hilltop Hacienda! The house is very cozy and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, which made my stay even more comfortable. The host was extremely kind and attentive, going out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant stay in San Marcos.
