Location to almost everything was excellent Clearly a favorite with Americans What really made it special was Jude. He bent over backwards to make sure you were comfortable and happy, and his wife who worked mornings serving breakfast was an added bonus. Not to take anything away from the other staff members who were all pleasant and friendly. Would stay here again without hesitation.

My room and hotel are very clean. The friendliness of the staff was exquisite. Information needed about Orvietto they could answer. I recommend the hotel, and would return.

Aircon didn't work first night but was fixed following day. Breakfast disappointing but maybe understandable given Covid restrictions. This is supposedly 4-star establishment but breakfast was more B&B standard. Great location, comfy bed and powerful shower was some compensation.

Excellent location in the heart of Orvieto. The hotel has one parking spot out front where guests can unload their car. The hotel's staff will then valet the car to a nearby garage.

Our stay at Palazzo Piccolomini was wonderful. The room was clean, the breakfast had a large variety, and Jude could not have been more helpful. He even made appointments for our Civid tests. He is incredible at his job. The location is nice if you want to be close to the shopping and sites without being in the middle of it all.

Wonderful ambience in the heart of a beautiful, historic town

The hotel is in an excellent location and the town is lovely. We were put in a room outside the main building. The room was in a residential building around the corner. Very cheaply furnished, no down comforter but very thin blanket. No room to put any toiletries in the No coffee with the coffee maker. Would stay in the main building but not in this room again.

great location, especially if you have a car as you can drive right up to the hotel and the hotel will park your car for you. Excellent staff, they went above and beyond and had our car waiting for us when we had to leave at 6:30am. We booked the economy room. The room was clean and the bedding was comfortable. The only thing to note about an economy room is that the shower is extremely small. As a petite person, I even had a hard time moving around in the shower and I think this would be a challenge for some guests.

Spacious apartment type room recently renovated appearance. The bed is on a small platform. Extremely comfortable, but would be difficult for older people. We were in the building across from the hotel. Breakfast was truly amazing in an underground room. Plentiful with espresso,cappucino, American coffee, juices, fruits, Italian cakes, yogurt, scrambled eggs, Italian meats, cheeses and cereals. Orevieto and the surrounding countryside is amazing! The Mezza Luna restaurant is a must for spaghetti carbonara. Amazing local restaurants right outside the apartment area! Ristorante Grotte del Funaro Nuova Is and underground restaurant and serves amazing local foods with fabulous wines! They also offer a discount for guests of this hotel! Walkable from the funiculare, however difficult with luggage on cobblestones. We took a cab back. Easy access to town from the train station, across the street to the funiculare. Or you can take the local bus or taxi. Taxi was €15. Not to be missed!!
