Leaving.

Absolutely abysmal stay from start to finish. We informed the team we would be arriving later (around 5:30-6pm) due to a delay with our transport. We were shown to the wrong room (which wasn’t actually a major issue) but I explained to the ‘community manager’ we would need to make two trips to move our bags. She stared me up and down and snapped ‘That’s why you have to arrive before 5pm’ - respectfully, I am a guest and should be able to arrive whenever I want. I understand she probably meant this in the context of someone helping us with our bags but her phrasing was so rude and the fact she just stared at me and snapped at me was really odd. The next day we had no hot water and it took hours to get someone to resolve it - no apology from anyone. Our room was not clean on arrival; mould in the room and wet walls with peeling paint from the damp. It wasn’t cleaned once during our stay (no indication of this until after you book). We were told we had a free drink at the bar but we didn’t have a voucher in our room. The ‘community manger’ said she’d inform the bar - nothing else. No information about what drinks we could/could not have. So we ordered and were then charged because the drinks weren’t right. When I bought this up to the ‘community manager’ there was NO apology just ‘the bar staff know every time’; so unbelievably rude and dreadful service. It’s not difficult to apologise for the mistake - especially as this was her mistake caused by her not putting the vouchers in our room and not letting us know what drinks were available. If she had just apologised I wouldn’t have had an issue but every interaction with her was just rude; we felt less like guests and more like inconveniences. To top it off, I raised my concerns with the owner via WhatsApp who ignored my messages. Eventually I had to reach out to booking directly to try and resolve it. Abysmal staff, dreadful service and dirty rooms - wouldn’t recommend

Nous avons passé une nuit au Sunset Lodge en avril. La vue est vraiment sublime, les équipements sont bien pensés (logement, accès au lac, ... ) et l'équipe est très agréable et arrangeante. Le restaurant sur place permet de prendre de bons repas.

To La paz, limpieza y comodidad

Le cadre est vraiment magnifique, avec la possibilité de faire du kayak, paddle etc… Le personnel est très accueillant et a l’écoute. Les chambres sont très propres. La vue était magnifique du loft.

La localisation est vraiment au milieu de nulle part, donc il faut penser à faire ses courses à l’avance si il y a une cuisine dans le logement. Le restaurant de l’hôtel est assez cher avec un menu fixe.

Sunset Lodge was the embodiment of serenity. My room a balcony as well as a pillow-filled nook with full length windows to view the lake. The property is situated right on the water and creates an atmosphere of relaxation. There is not much else right next to the property, but to me, that was a positive. It is easy to get around by boat to the other towns on the lake. I would highly recommend!
