The restaurant food is amazing.

Such a good find. Away from the hustle of kawaguchiko with amazing surroundings ti a rustic style lodge. We walked to the caves and observatory and green line bus picks up outside the restaurant.

Very nice place for travellers! Beautiful lake, very sweet restaurant and hosts.

Not the cleanest but I came last minute and off season so I think that's why and this shouldn't discourage you from going there

Lovely little cabin on the lake

The manager doesn’t speak a word of English but couldn’t be more helpful. At the train station the gate attendants will help you call the property from a pay phone (100 yen coin). The property manager will come and get you immediately and it’s NOT just around the corner! I missed the last bus one afternoon and one call to the manager and he was on his way to pick me up - free of charge. The property is a rustic cabin on the side of a lake. It has a rough it feel - It’s not a modern hotel. It has everything you’ll need and it’s clean and comfortable. It’s a fun stay!

This last bus leaves the train station at 4:10 in the afternoon which is very early and the information center closes at 5pm. If you don’t have your own transportation you have to weigh the cost benefit against the location. You can’t walk to this property! You can make it work but you have to be constantly aware of time. It could use a chair or two and an English language tv station - BBC or CNN perhaps

Great location and pet friendly

The bathroom was incredibly smelly and the rest of the room wasn’t very clean either, with loads of dead (and alive ) spiders under and around the beds. I’ve stayed there before and was very happy with the place but this time the bungalow wasn’t very clean and instead of a view of the lake our bungalow faced the back of the restaurant so that wasn’t very nice.
