Sun Lake

Very pet-friendly (2 dog runs!), spacious and cozy sleeping area/living room. Very great location, not only directly at the lake but also very close to various Fuji-sunrise spots :) We did not interact much with the hosts and had no time dining there, but they seemed very lovely, and had we stayed another night we would definitely tried their food or make use of the BBQ facility. We will for sure come back when showing around friends in the same area in future!

Nothing :) Bathroom was a bit cold but I don’t think that is an issue as it fits the “context”

It was superb...The owners were awesome.. Mom dad and daughter were super host.. One thing wanna share: At evening I did not have dinner at the hotel restaurant, because i already purchased from super market... The Owner (mom) gave me fruits to eat , because she thought,I will not eat... superb motherly guesture.. Really touched...Overall Awesome...

the location was incredible, directly on the lake and there was free green tea to sip on the deck and enjoy the view.

the bathroom was quite smelly, cleaning sponges and cleaning products were lying around the interior and there was no conditioner. staff weren’t particularly friendly.

The location is amazing. Private parking in front of cabin. Two dog parks for our dogs to run in. Very clean inside cabin. The restaurant is cozy and great food. The owner takes pride in this place and it shows. Gave us pet food bowls and towels for our dogs upon arrival. Right across from the lake.

Pet fee is daily per pet, each night.

Absolutely authentic and cozy wooden Japanese hut with vintage spirit all over the place. Definitely worth it for those who don't like fancy places, also it's pretty isolated and close to the japanese national trail. Everything was provided, the food at the restaurant was really tasty, and the portions were big.

Could be uncomfortable for those who prefer sleeping at daytime as there's plenty of windows without curtains.

The cabin was spacious and clean, and with great facilities such as a large bathroom, fridge, microwave and kettle. There were two beds, and further space upstairs for additional guests. It was plenty large enough for two. There was free tea, toothbrushes, a hairdryer, and shampoo etc in the bathroom, and slippers for us. The bedding was very warm and the bed was comfortable. The cabin host was very helpful and flexible with our check-in time.

The cabin was extremely cold on our arrival, and the air-conditioning/heating was not effective. There was a gas heater, but this turned itself off after three hours. We woke up absolutely freezing, and we could see our breath. Additionally, the bathroom had no heating at all, and was very damp. It was unpleasant to use it in the night. The location was also a little tricky to get to after around 5pm, since the buses were very infrequent. There are no grocery stores nearby, and the nearest few restaurants all closed very early (6pm) which made getting dinner very hard. Luckily we had prepared, and brought lots of snacks. The cabin was expensive considering these factors.
