Pension Belnina

Taka is amazing and such a cool guy, he arranged alt accommodation for us when his place was booked and dropped us off, shuttled our luggage back and forth, boiled eggs for me, had nice yarns with him. His partner and daughter are also amazing so friendly and welcoming! They invited us to a tea ceremony to celebrate the spring coming which was an awesome experience and added bonus to the snowboarding for which we came! Highly, highly recommended if you're coming to Hakuba!!

Taka was a fantastic host. Very helpful and knowledgeable for skiing needs and general advice about the area. The pension was homely with everything you need. Small buffet breakfast but had everything you needed. Communal fridge, freezers, kettle, microwave and vending machines on hand if you wanted to stay in rather than eat out. Location was good in terms of ski shuttles and restaurants. Taka was able to help me with luggage forwarding services to save me from lugging my skis around.

Maybe I didn't know how to use the remote but it took a while to heat the room up. There was a yamazaki store nearby, however I prefer 7-11, which was just under a half hour walk away. Bus transfers to the hakuba bus terminal is 800 yen one way if you do not have a lift pass.

Taka - san was amazing in accomodating my friend and I. He help us ALOT when my friend got injured in the sloped by taking us to the clinic and helping my friend in any way he could. But other than that, the place was amazing!!! the onset is great after a day in the cold and the breakfasts were delicious. The location was easy to get to the slopes through the shuttle buses and right in the heart of town so we could go around to different places to eat as well

Amazing amenities (private onsen was the best), close proximity to great restaurants and bars (walking distance, but still peaceful and quiet at Belnina), delicious home cooked breakfast buffet, and the absolute kindest owner. The experience was very personable and we will definitely be back!

It was cute/quaint and had character! Excellent location, shuttle stops for all the mountains were a five min walk or less, as were the ski rental shop and many restaurants. Loved hanging out in the common room. And most of all we LOVED Taka, he was the best. Such an amazing host. Definitely would stay here again if I came back to Hakuba and definitely would recommend to a friend.

I didn’t realize this property had shared bathrooms when I booked it but it didn’t turn out to be a big deal. Stayed for four nights and only waited for a shower once for about 5 mins.
