" YOLO " LOVELY COTTAGE

We had such a wonderful stay at this lovely cottage / home stay! We loved the warm welcome by the whole family, thank you for picking us up from the train station! :) The cottage was spotless and very nicely decorated (love the dimmable lights) and very comfortable as well! The cooking class by Vimuktih's mom and aunt was amazing. It doesn't get any more authentic than this. So nice to cook with the whole family present (happy that dog Randy came back!:)) They also offered to use their own shower after we got back from a hike after our checkout time, it was so nice to shower outside in their garden, loved the local experience! This stay is definitely one to remember and recommend!

They provided the best breakfast we had on our entire trip with wonderful pancakes, fresh fruit, and local cuisine. The staff offered us TukTuk transportation around Ella at very reasonable prices and were always available and helpful. The internet was a bit spotty at times, but I guess that is normal for being way out in mountainous nature, and it is a good trade off for the excellent view and being within walking distance of Ella Rock..

The time here at yolo lovely cottage was amazing! The accommodation is beautiful, the view from the terrace is unbeatable and the bed is super cozy. The dinner and breakfast was super delicious and even if there are thousands of restaurants in ella, we couldn’t find a better place to eat than here! The hosts are so helpful caring, friendly and amazing and we are so happy to meet them! Thank you for the amazing time here in ella and this amazing stay at your place!

*WOW* We are so happy being your guests for the last days. The whole „YOLO Lovely Cattage“ family is absolutely amazing. Your hospitality is next level. We LOVE: - the cozy and clean cottage - especially the bed with the 1***** mattress - the big terracce with it´s stunning view - your willingness to help - the start in the day with your fabulous breakfast ( sorry that we never managed to eat everything ) - it was always enough for breakfast, lunch and a snack for hiking - every day we were fallen in love with your Sri Lankian Dinner - mother Anulawathi is the best cook ever - when we felt sick you took care of us - when we needed any kind of help, had questions, needed a tuktuk or anything else we only had to message to „Vinukthi“ and two seconds later he answered. Your wish was fullfiled. - We could go on and go on with the list. We can hardly describe how kind this family is. YOU ARE THE BEST ! Awesome place, clean rooms, good location, super hosts, tastiest food i've tried in Sri-Lanka. The location is perfect for everyone looking for peaceful time from busy center and crowds. Very supportive of solo travellers. A good spot for birdwatching.

Yolo Lovely Cottage is such a beautiful place. Just Execptional . Lovely cottage, spacious room and huge balcony. Misty view from balcony is just fabulous. Breakfast is also very delicious and huge. And the host family are just wonderful. So lovely kind and helpful. Always ready for help and guidance. I can't recommend enought. I'm giving 10 on 10.

I liked everything about this wonderful cottage. It is very quiet here and the rooms are very comfortable with everything you need. I loved relaxing on the balcony with a great view, listening and watching birds including parrots, or watching the famous train from a distance. The location is perfect as it is close to the start of the stone trail of the falls and you can walk to the falls by the paths. Breakfast and dinner are delicious too. Very friendly to us.. We went to see all the places by tuk-tuk. The price is also very reasonable. Good luck.
