" YOLO " LOVELY COTTAGE

Everything was excellent and amazing. The kindness of the family, the wonderful food they made for us, the helpfullness. It was unbelievable. The house is clean and very comfortable. The bed is massive and has a great matrass and mosquitonet. It has a big porch from where you have the most beautiful view of Ella and the surrounding mountains. We loved sitting there, watching the peacocks in the trees. If it was possible to give this accommodation a higher mark then a 10, we would. We were blown away by it.

Absolutely nothing

The family is the absolute sweetest you will ever encounter. The view and breakfast was amazing.

We loved the very kind family who welcomed us, the dinner was fabulous as well as the breakfast. Plenty of choice and so much food that they even gave me a take away for the day. The view is beautiful, nature, tea plantations and you can see the train passing.

One of the best places to stay in Sri Lanka. Far enough away from bustling downtown Ella, but easy to reach from Kittha Ella railway station and a perfect start point for a climb to Ella Rock. The owner drive us around with his Tuk-Tuk for such a low price that made me feel ashamed. The food (breakfast and diner) is simply awesome. The potato curry was rated by my son as being the best curry he ever had. If you are looking for a quiet place near Ella, YOLO cottage is maybe the best place to go.

We had a great stay at Yolo Lovely Cottage. The family is so kind and Will do anything to make your stay as good as possible. The food was amazing and the views stunning. Thank you for the great stay!

Very hospitable family owned and run. Fantastic food. Breakfast the best so far and dinner among the best. Extremely helpful with information and run their own tuc-tuc to take you anywhere. View is spectacular (like being in a tree house). Peaceful yet 10 mins by tuc-tuc to Ella "city" or an hour's stroll along the railway. We would love to return one day.

Minor points but the fridge is a bit noisy, and the shower has low pressure. Bathroom is in need of an update.

Amazing owners who really take care of guests comfort. They prepared amazing breakfast for us. The owner also got tuck tuck witch was really convenient with transport, they also communicate very well and respond fast for all our needs. Beautiful location with balcony with amazing mountains panorama, room got everything we needed and even water, tea, coffee and some toilets with is not so common in cheaper Sri Lankan home stays.

Nothing, I would like to stay there longer !

Lovely cottage, very private with stunning views and well situated for climbing Ella’s Rock. Very sweet family who cooked us lovely food and had an on-site tuk tuk for ease of driving us into town as the son has one. It was lovely to be away from the madness of the town but near enough to pop in for dinner if we felt like it. Loved watching the birds and monkeys in the forest around the cottage. Comfortable bed. Excellent Wi-Fi.
