I am tearing myself away from this oasis in the hills above Ella. I absolutely loved everything about it. The peace, the views, the sounds & smoky smells of the forest. The family who run Yo Lo Lovely Cottage are so kind& generous. The breakfasts!! OMG. I was very happy not to be in noisy Ella. The walks nearby are stunning & coming home to the porch & fabulous bed & hot water shower all blissful. Thank you so much. Don't only stay for one night though!

Exquisite, attentive but unobtrusive service. Lovely balcony view. Exceptional breakfast and dinner. Ready with a tuktuk if you need to get into town or to help with any direction or other services in my case renting a scooter and getting some superglue!). Fridge in room. Dimmable bedside lights. Easy access to route to Ella Rock. Great value

When the door first opened the room smelled a little damp bit after that I didn't notice it.

This family is so so kind! The house is very private and has a super comfortable bed with klamboe. They made diner for us which was the best food we had! The breakfast was also way better then other places! Do not hesitate to book here, it is peaceful and just perfect :-)

Very kind family that each did there very best to take good care of us. They also have a wonderful dog called rendi. Breakfast was very good and the view was magnificent.

This was the best homestay we experienced during our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka! The family was so lovely, helpful and very accommodating. They made the loveliest vegan breakfast for me and always had a fresh juice. The son was available for tuktuk rides at a very reasonable rate (which is helpful since the location is a 15 minute ride away from the centre). The place is nestled in gorgeous nature, close to Ella Rock with a lovely view of the sunrise and the stars at night. The room has everything you could need for your stay. We highly recommend!

A wonderful Family, nice view and great food! We really felt home. Breakfast and dinner are the best in Ella. Warmly recommended, also the cooking class.

This was our most amazing stay in Sri Lanka. This cottage really felt like our own HOME in Sri Lanka. Every time we arrived back to it from a day out in Ella, we felt great and felt home. The view is incredible! The place is so serene. The bed is so big and comfortable. Then the hosts, it felt like the whole family was looking after us and welcomed us. The home cooked food was amazing and such large quantities, impossible to finish it all. We also appreciate how every evening the mosquito coils where lit on for us to keep us enjoying the balcony. Almost forgot to mention, the balcony furniture is so comfortable, unlike other places we have stayed in before

The place is a lot better in real life than the pictures.

The room (a seperate bungalow) with a scenic view was incredible. The owner were really kind-hearted, helpful and welcoming. We especially enjoyed the homemade traditionell food.
