Enjoyed the location, being in the countryside. Fireplace, and friendly staff.

Was not warned road not rideable on my motorcycle, ended up falling on slippery surface, most doors didn't close properly, large gaps above poorly mounted doors that let cold wind blew into the house, roof had a few leaks, ceiling incomplete, no cornice, the owner did kindly allow us to use her horse box to transport my bike back to tar road, for which I was grateful.

Very friendly staff. Clean and comfortable unit. Beautiful views.

The furniture is slightly uncomfortable.

The views are spectacular and the sounds of a working farm are beautiful background sounds while enjoying the views and hikes.

We enjoyed being together as a family and the surrounding scenery was beautiful.

Road access: Nowhere before booking did it mention a 3km dirt road. We were only informed after booking. We were assured it was fine for regular cars, but in reality, it’s more suitable for 4x4 vehicles. One of our cars kept scraping rocks. Additionally, being charged R150 to park at a nearby guest house and then being transported to the farm felt unfair. Accommodation standards: We booked a house for 11 people and a chalet for 4. Compared to other trips we’ve taken, the standard here was the lowest. The kitchen was poorly equipped — few pots, broken lid handles, a broken can opener (we had to use a knife), and no containers to store food or salads. Maintenance issues: In the house, the toilet kept running water, which made it hard to sleep. The shower was very small. In the chalet, the toilet had no door handle at all. On a positive note, we enjoyed being together as a family and the surrounding scenery was beautiful. However, we hope the management addresses these issues to improve future guests’ experiences.

The location was excellent as the guest farm is situated in a beautiful mountainous area with lovely hiking trails and even a lovely rock pool in which we enjoyed a swim.

We stayed in the Hideout. Although spacious this accommodation is ageing and in need of maintenance and even an upgrade.
