Is it possible to give a minus 20 rating??? What looked like a dream holiday turned into one of the worst experiences we ever had. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE stay away from this property if you are thinking of booking anything more than a rough camping spot. Hideout unit was certainly not what was advertised. Although Derrick and other staff are lovely people, the facilities are sorely lacking. We had wondered whether there was perhaps another unit available with a bath, but being the busy season, Derrick kindly told us there wasn't. That was not a problem, as the unit did have a nice shower with great water pressure and hot water. HOWEVER, after a couple of hours the sheer neglect of the unit became obvious. Our electricity kept on tripping and eventually a very friendly handyman came out at 9pm on Christmas Eve to simply flip the trip switch up again. Another handyman had to come out on Christmas Day to fix the electricity . When we complained about the electricity our host was willing to move us to another unit which would only have been available for the last 2 days of our stay, and which did not have private ablution facilities but would share these facilities with the campers. As I had paid for a unit with private ablution facilities, this was certainly not a solution. Yvonne then refunded us an amount of R2000 to make up for the discomfort of mistakes made on their part. Unfortunately, with the general state of neglect of the unit and the open sewrage drain right in front of the unit next to the allocated "parking", we decided to pack up our things and go. We sent Yvonne a very decent message early evening to inform her that we had moved out and would kindly request a refund for the days we did not stay. She refused Following are just some of the issues we noted with the unit: 1. Access road is a 3km nightmare and not to be attempted by small SUVs or 2x4 bakkies 2. Exterior of unit is in shocking need of repair 3.

Location was great, they don't serve breakfast but it's a self catering place, has convenient supplies during your stay

Ein deutlicherer Hinweis, das die letzten km nur "Dirtroad", kein Gravel, sind. Bei Regen mit normalen PKW schwer zu fahren. Bei dem Stück zur Rezeption 3mal aufgesetzt. Keine Handtücher, Strom für Licht ging erst nach dem ein Mitarbeiter die Sicherung eingeschaltet hat. Der Grill für das Braai war durchgerostet, gab viel Dreck. Da es ein großes Gelände ist, würde ein Lageplan helfen, die verbale Beschreibung war nicht gut.

Beautiful location, great working farm stay experience, incredible views, an absolute gem.
