Altitude Nozawa

The staff were fantastic, breakfast was amazing, location and transfers were into town were really convenient.

Facilities were a bit old and tired. As a family of four it was super frustrating not being able to dry washing as the dryer didn’t work.

Friendly staff, and felt like home with most of them Aussies. Great breakfast every morning. Bus service was great.

No bidet was probably the hardest part about the stay. Rooms were small, but we could suffer it for the reasonable price.

My room 201 was extremely cold, the heater was definitely not getting to the room. The corridor was warmer than room.

A bit far from village and food

The staff were very helpful before and during my stay. Access to the closest chairlift was only a 5 minute walk, and from here you could ski down to the main gondola after gaining a bit of skiing experience (the start of the track is a bit steep and narrow). They also have a limited shuttle service to the main gondola area. The accommodation itself is pretty basic, but also far better value than the more expensive resorts closer to the town centre. There is a large drying room and lockers for all ski equipment.

The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from town, although there is a free local bus that stops at 5pm, and the hotel has hourly transfers, which were useful.

Breakfast included, offered pick up and drop off with our luggage from Chuo terminal, had shuttles each morning to drop off at ski fields and one shuttle at night to drop to the centre of town for dinner, drying room for ski gear

The washing machine was not very good, didn’t clean my clothes properly, would have been handy to have an English translation sheet available
