Lakeside Villa

Second time we stay at the Lakeside Villa. The hosts are very nice and helpful with anything we may need. The property is a bit out of the way, and no cell reception. So make sure you take note of the directions before hand. But that's also the reason why it's such a nice place: very rural and very quiet. Certainly a place we'll pick next time we're on the road.

This is a beautiful home on many acres of land in a quiet, peaceful setting. If you want to unplug, this could be the place to do it.

The bed was not comfortable. Since what you're paying for in this isolated location is a room, the bed should be over-the-top comfortable. I would like to have enjoyed a pillowtop mattress and good quality pillows.

Felt like we were transported to Europe!

Loved the coffee bar, a little tidbit to eat, even if just a muffin, pastry or cookie would’ve been a welcomed touch. Restaurants are not nearby.

The host was very generous and kind.

No issues

The villa is located about 3.5 miles from Cottage Grove. The grounds were lovely. Lots of garden areas. Large swing and adult sized teater tower. A lily pad lake with an island. Plenty of area to strool in. The owners are very accommodating.

Unfortunately, they are not geared to furnish breakfast. They do have coffee.
