DENice location in the jungle, close to a beautiful beach, very nice and helpful owner!!
Toilets not clean, very slippery pathways and stairs, place is a bit run down and could e.g. use some new paint and toilet seats
GBThe owner Howard is very helpful indeed, a fountain of knowledge and pillar of the local community. He appears to have worked so hard on building this admirable project village where children learn about plants and animals in the jungle there. Great chalets.

DEI liked that the place is completely in the nature. You're surrounded by the sounds of the jungle. I'm also a big fan of compost toilets, not because of lack of comfort, obviously because it's a nice thing to do to our nature.
I know it's remote and jungle but somehow there needs to be some kind of WiFi. Maybe a hotspot for a couple of hours. Nowadays people, including me, don't know where to go without checking maps or see what's around. The beaches around are very (!!!) dirty. It's not the fault of the accommodation, but maybe organize a beach clean-up with the village?

NLLoved our stay at the Tampat do Aman. The array surrounding our small room was great, if you're appreciative of nature. There's also a small trail across the road within the Tampat Do Aman nature reserve the owner, Howard, set up with a small suspension bridge and a viewing platform. Howard was a very sweet guy who was there for a friendly chat and would give you tips and pointers on where to go in the area. There's a small local shop nearby and a very short drive (we rented a car) to the stunning beaches of the tip of borneo. The the room had a nice shower, working toilet, two fans and a patio from which we saw a Civet Cat, fruit bats and a lot of birds.
The room could be a little damp and there were a few power outages. But since you're in the north of Borneo and in a jungle/forest area, both we're expected and not a problem.
MYwhat is the score standard for rating between satisfying or poor ? the place may poor, but 100% suprise for my life ; so how we like to rate it's? this place 100% surprise me , the friendly owner Mr Howard (sorry if I no mistaken about the name) also surprised me . so I like to rate it's full score ; but if you plan travel with your wife and she was "modern girl" , please give up before you been kill because this place don't have aircond supply.
