Great communication, met us on arrival and check out, gave us tips on good places to eat, was helpful in booking a cruise for us. Totally recommend the cruise to Awaroa lodge , Awaroa Bay is beautiful! The accomodation was clean and had a nice fragrance. Comfortable bed with nice soft blankets. My favorite thing was having the beach so close as I was able to have an amazing walk

"Great for mid summer break for a couple."

Great location to quiet beach. Owner was lovely and friendly with a great recommendation for dinner and willing to book any activities.

While the rustic outdoor bathroom was a quirk it wouldn’t be pleasant to use in winter, we were there late summer and it was cold enough then. There was no TV available or running water.

Was such a beautiful, peaceful and serene place. Spacious unit with lovely personal touches. Paul our host was fantastic, pointed us to all the places for meals and excursions. Private beach was beautiful.

Wish we could have stayed longer.

Location was good.

Unit 2 is an old storage shed or garage with no heat, no running water and no kitchen. A microwave on an end table and a toaster over is it for the kitchen. No counter space. The bathroom, and open room underneath the guy's house, is accessed only from the outside 20+ meters away. Don't believe the pictures shown on this site!!!

Terrific location with easy access to local beaches/waterfronts. The host, Paul, was very generous with local recommendations, outing companies, and eco activities.

The property was excellent and well maintained. The separate bath/wash area was fine for our stay, although I can imagine it more challenging during inclement weather.

House is incredibly located next to Stephen’s bay beach, and literally 30 sec to Tapu beach. Paul is an amazing host and will share all the righ insights and help you to book the nice tours for you.
