I can‘t state enough how detached and out of this world we felt during our 4 days at Motswari. I am already looking forward to coming back!

"An amazing experience all round. The food, staff and guides were brilliant and the amount of animal encounters was beyon"

10.0

The property was well maintained and well managed. The food was a 10 out of 10 with a lot of variety. The location was incredible with all the wild animals visible from all areas of the property. The rooms were incredibly insulated feeling cool during the heat of the day and warm in the cold nights. The game drives were fantastic with exceptional guides who used their knowledge of the bush to put us right where the animals were every time. We were able to see the big 5 multiple times throughout our stay as well as a wide range of other animals

"I can highly recommend MOTSWARI !"

10.0

MOTSWARI exceeded all our expectations! We loved absolutely everything about it. I would like to emphasize the beautiful location and facilities of the entire camp and our bungalow. All six trips out into the South African animal kingdom were also incredibly beautiful. We saw leopards every day. And we also saw all the other big five and many more. Our guides Lola and Lot were extremely experienced and friendly. Thank you so much for these unforgettable days! We will definitely be back!

"True value for money and saw Africa’s Big 5 safari animals and many more, several times during our trip."

10.0

The property was well located and the hospitality was superb. The staff were trained to exceed client expectations and we had a superb stay. The staff went out of their way to assist us with all the government formalities when one of us misplaced a passport between J’burg and Hoedspruit. Our Guide and Tracker were so knowledgeable that each game drive provided us with a new experience….we saw the Big 5 and other animals over and over again during the 8 game drives we went on during our 4 night stay….

Loved everything about the property from the people, service and location.

"Contact with nature and worry-free safari."

9.0

Although it is true that it was my most expensive stay in all of South Africa, and I was in all 5-star places. The place is worth it for its location in the middle of nowhere, 100% in contact with animals and nature. I admit that I hesitated a lot before hiring because of the negative things I read on this page, but I did not experience most of them. The service is friendly and helpful at all times. The food, although brief, you cannot repeat, appetizing. The red wine that is included is not good but the rosé and white are drinkable. The day begins with tea or coffee at 6 in the morning with a muffin or Babuiscuit. Then from 6.30 to 9.30 safari. At 9:30 is breakfast, the most complete meal of the day and a buffet. Then you rest until 2:00 p.m., which is lunch, which is already brief, although it is a buffet. Then, at 3:30 p.m. safari until 6:30 p.m. On both safaris of the day they give you a snack with the drink you have chosen to have in the morning, tea, coffee or hot chocolate, and in the afternoon, preferably an alcoholic drink or soft drink. When you return from the afternoon safari, the guide accompanies you to the room because it is dark and there may be animals walking around, it is not something to worry about but it is something to be attentive. And then at 7 p.m. they will pick you up to take you to the Boma (tables around an outdoor bonfire where you have dinner). Although I went in winter (dry season) it was not cold, a light jacket is fine (and I am very cold). Then you have to let them know that you want to go to the room and they will accompany you for security, but I repeat, nothing alarming. There is an artificial lagoon right in front of the hotel and the animals come to drink water (it will be about 150 meters from the complex) and you can see the animals with the naked eye. We saw Rhinos, elephants, hippos, pudus, Sables, Impalas, monkeys, etc. drinking water. Inside the complex it is common to see Nyalas (it is the Bamby breed).

if what you want is a true contact with nature and safari, this is your place. What I didn't like but they do all over South Africa is pick up your plate practically before you finish eating. The cleanliness of the room is acceptable considering the place where it is located and that the streets are sandy so you dirty it yourself with your shoes.
