Motswari Private Game Reserve by NEWMARK

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! Our guide Hayden and tracker Patrick were incredible, so knowledgeable and friendly, they really made our experience. The drives were great, we saw such a variety of animals including the big 5. We saw and learnt something new every drive. The lodge is lovely, our room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We stayed in Roan room and had a lovely porch looking out to the savanna woodland, where we saw animals roaming past. The pool area is a beautiful view too. Staff are so friendly and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. Food is delicious- we tried kudu and wildebeest! We also did the giraffe nest which was an amazing experience. We got to see a hyena and a lion visit the watering hole in front of the treehouse. The stars and moon were amazing and listening to all the animals sounds. Could not recommend this lodge enough!! Unforgettable 5 days.

The best game drive experience! We absolutely enjoyed the game drives with Josh, who was so passionate and motivated to show us the big five and many more animals. The staff at Motswari is extremely friendly and puts a lot of effort into everything. The food is really good.

The interior of the rooms is a bit outdated. Also, the bathroom is separated from the bedroom, so we could only enter the bathroom via a small private path and a private outdoor shower. At night when it was dark and we put on the light in our room it meant that a lot of bugs, mosquitoes etc. got into the room.

I’m not sure I can put into words the joy this incredible 3 night stay at Motswari gave us. Our lodge Nyla was wonderful so tastefully decorated and very spacious and comfortable. We were collected from our room and escorted to dinner each evening by the friendly staff. The food was fabulous and the staff out of this world, nothing was too much trouble. Loved their singing at lunch as they brought in the food. Josh and Difference were the most amazing guide and tracker and we loved our time with them. They worked so hard to make sure we saw the Big 5 and yes we did multiple times. Thank you to everyone at Motswari for making us so welcome we certainly felt we left as friends and will be back ❤️

Loved everything

Our stay at Motswari Private Game Reserve was nothing short of magical. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. Our room was immaculate—clean, tidy, and incredibly comfortable. The facilities are stunning, and we were lucky enough to spot animals strolling by multiple times. The all-inclusive service was exceptional, with an abundance of delicious, high-quality food. The staff truly made the experience unforgettable—so kind, attentive, and warm. The private safari, which runs twice a day, was impeccably organized and simply amazing. A special thank you to Joshua, our driver, and David, our tracker. Highly, highly recommended!

We loved absolutely everything.

Super friendly staff, food was outstanding with loads of choice and flexibility. Everyone just wants to make your experience memorable and they do it with the biggest smile. Couldn't recommend enough, just book it.

Very nice private game reserve. Food was great. Guides were wonderful. They entertained us too!

We wanted more time with the other guests. After the games drive we were escorted back to out room then had to wait an hour for them to come get us for dinner at 8. Maybe just 30 min would be better to freshen up. I would have rather went right to dinner after game drive, like at other places. We felt like we were waiting around for an hour, getting tired and would have liked to have happy hour with other guests. Also bigger tables at dinner to meet people vs just mostly 2 tops.

They were extremely attentive to all our wants and needs. Great food and great game viewing! Our field guide, Josh, and tracker, David, were awesome!!!!

Our stay at Motswari was fantastic - to start off, the property itself is absolutely stunning, the rooms are spacious and beautiful, and you are surrounded by wildlife 24/7 due to the open air fence. The food for all three meals was delicious - they just kept feeding us and it got better each time! The safari's themselves were amazing - I've been on many safari's before, mostly in national parks where an animal sighting is reported and 20 cars race and crowd the animal and it feels very uncomfortable. This did not happen here - all of the guides are in contact with one another and the surrounding private lodges and have a 1-2 car rule where you are only ever around one another car while doing your animal sighting. This made it an incredibly intimate experience with each animal and felt like we were respecting the wildlife while still being able to get up close. The guides were also fantastic - we had Paul and Magic who were the best duo we could have asked for. We saw the big 5 in one day in addition to wild dog sightings every day, hyena dens and pups, several leopards and lion prides, and elephants and giraffes everywhere! Motswari offered everything you could want in a safari and more, and it's true when they say leave as a friend. We visited for our honeymoon and are already planning our next trip back! 11/10 recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
