The host was very welcoming and with the assistance of a little google translate magic was also very helpful with local knowledge. Discounted lift passes are also available from the property, so don't rush to buy them online.

The only downside I can think of is it's a comparatively long walk to the main gondola if you want first chair, however if you're less stressed about being first up the mountain, the Kanazawa ski area is close by with a chair to link you to the lower gondola station.

朝食が素晴らしかった。地元の山菜や、宿の畑で取れた山菜などを中心に、ホテル以外の宿に行かないと食べることができない朝食を食べる事ができた。中心街へも一本道で子供も親もすぐ道を覚えられる位解り易かった。外湯に入る際のルールも、湯が熱すぎた場合、周りの人に断って水を入れればよいと、親切に教えてくれ、水を入れるなと言う地元住民は居ないと教わる事ができ、無事子供も外湯に入る事ができました。

外湯めぐりの際、脱衣スペースが余りない事はわかっていたが、風呂上りに靴と靴下を履くのがすこし面倒くさく、宿に外湯めぐりに履いていく、スリッパ等の備品があればもっと良かった。

おかみさんが育てた無農薬の野菜やフルーツを朝食で出してくれます。連泊しても、毎日朝食が変わるので楽しみでした！
