Phong Nha Rice Field Homestay

Beautiful rural location within an easy cycle ride of the village. The family were willing to share their home and meals with us and were very hospitable. They were happy to organise any tours and taxis and nothing was too much trouble.

You would need transport if you wanted to eat out.

This lovely family truly adopted us and made sure we had a great time. They were happy to help us organise tours and rent motorbikes. They made a delicious dinner for us every night (at only 100,000 dong each). The room itself was very large with great luxury with a comfy bed and plenty of hot water in the shower.

There would appear to be no restaurants within walking distance, so you'll need to rent a motorbike to eat lunch or generally get around

I was on a 5 day solo motorcycle tour around the central highlands. Phong Nha and the Rice Field Homestay were the highlights of the trip, stunning scenery, location and friendliness of the owners. I had dinner with them the food was fabulous.

The location of the homestay is incredible - situated in the midst of greenery with a view of expansive rice fields. The room is clean, and the beds are comfortable. We slept very well and looked forward to the fantastic view every morning.

We liked everything about it!

This is my favorite place I stayed in Vietnam. The homestay is in a beautiful, peaceful location, a 5 minute motorbike or 10 minute bike ride from Phong Nha town. The family who runs the homestay are the kindest, loveliest people. I feel like I have a family in Vietnam. I had a wonderful time just hanging out with them. They will also help you organize any trekking or cave tours. They also cooked some of the best food I have had in Vietnam. This is also a great way to do sustainable and ethical travel. Your money goes directly to supporting a local family rather than to a hotel or hostel company. Definitely stay here!

We had a great time here. The hosts are very kind and helpful and prepared awesome food for us. The place is really clean and comfortable. With a nice view over rice fields and mountains. There is also a big garden and a terrace. We could rent motorbikes and the hosts booked bus tickets for us and gave us a ride to the station.

Family were amazing. Parents took us by scooter to our bus stop at the end. We had a amazing dinner (best so far 10 days into vietnam) with them and felt very looked after. It is a true experience of staying with a vietnamese family in the country.
