A bit of a treck from town, noise in the morning can be a little loud.

This place was absolutely stunning. The views are breathtaking, and you’re completely immersed in the jungle. The breakfast was perfect, and the hosts were so so lovely, felt right at home. I can’t recommend this place enough, I wish I could have stayed for longer!! If you want a peaceful, relaxing stay this is it.

Our stay at Mount Wood Star in Ella was wonderful! The family was incredibly hospitable, and we felt so well taken care of. The room and bathroom were spotless, making us feel very comfortable throughout our stay. We also fell in love with the family’s adorable dogs! Plus, the takeaway restaurant next door served the best kottu we had in Sri Lanka. We would highly recommend this place!

It is a really amazing place, with an exceptional outlook. Just 2 bedrooms so we had it all for ourselves. It is run by a local family, who are humble and incredibly genuine and warm. We wished we could have enjoyed the views more and jungle experience. But we only stayed one night (arriving late and leaving early). Bravo the husband who built the property. The breakfast was excellent.

It is close to the road so you hear some traffic, but this is a minor thing. You need to pay in cash, so make sure you have enough on you. No cards.

The place is very nice, surrounded by trees and jungle. There are 2 apartments. The staff is very nice, and the breakfast is very good.

Since it is on the main road to Ella, you can hear the passing of vehicles.

The uniqueness of this hotel and waking up with the stunning and breathtaking views over the jungle. This place is a little gem and is a MUST if you are in the area. The family are so lovely and warm towards their guests. We would highly recommend Mount View Star.

Amazing room with view and very clean. Amazing service

The hotel itself was very aesthetic everything wooden which i like the most. The view from the room was amazing. The people there were very welcoming and nice. Breakfast was amazing, they will serve us whatever time we prefer. The owner is having a tuktuk, so we can roam in his tuktuk at a very low price.

The only thing I didn't like is you need to take your shoes/slippers off when you enter the hotel which is lil bit inconvenient. However the floor is super clean so it wont make your feet dirty.

Absolutely stunning accommodation inside and out. The wooden building is beautiful and this carries through the whole room. The views are absolutely spectacular and the well placed window means you can see whole valley from bed. With only 2 rooms the accommodation felt private, safe and secure. The private balcony is also lovely with a chair and beanbag. Breakfast was served up stairs and was delicious and plentiful. We were asked the time we would prefer breakfast to save 'clashing' with other guests. The hosts were warm and welcoming

This is no fault of the accommodation but as its on the roadside there was some early morning traffic noise.
