One-Bedroom Chalet

This unit was the original Coach House and has been converted into a one-bedroom unit. The loft style bedroom and bathroom which has a bath, hand shower, toilet and handbasin are on the upper level and are accessed via a steep and narrow staircase. On the private veranda guests can enjoy uninterrupted views of False Bay on the Indian Ocean while inside one can prepare meals in the well equipped kitchen and dine at a table and chairs. The lounge area has a comfortable sofa to relax and watch TV. Not suitable for the elderly/disabled/heavily pregnant woman.

The original stables which has been converted into an open-plan and self-catering cottage is perfectly suited for a couple or single person hoping to unwind on holiday. The space is bright and airy with the bedroom area on a slightly raised level which allows for wonderful views of the ocean from the bed. The bathroom is ensuite and the cottage features a private outdoor terrace in a semi private garden setting. Uninterrupted sea and garden views make this the ideal unit to destress in a quiet natural environment.

Bellissima posizione sulla baia dei pinguini con un panorama stupendo a qualsiasi ora del giorno e della notte. Giardino privato e parcheggio disponibile. Proprietarie molto gentili e disponibili. Buona posizione a metà strada tra il centro di cape town e capo di buona speranza.

Molto scomoda la scala per raggiungere il piano superiore. La vasca nel bagno è posizionata su dei pezzi di legno e bisogna stare attenti a non bagnare fuori altrimenti l’acqua arriva anche in cucina al piano di sotto. Lavandino del bagno senza miscelatore quindi si poteva decidere acqua calda o fredda, non tiepida. Accesso tramite cancello con lucchetto da aprire quindi a mano.

Location is the key to the success of this place but we really enjoyed the accommodation. Very well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, spacious lounge area, clean toilet and lovely garden would make it a great stay anywhere in the world. Added back gate from the garden to the boardwalk where you can see the penguins, the fact that you can actually see penguins from the garden itself I just can't find any reason to complain. This is a fantastic place to stay.

"Gem of a cottage with incredible views next door to penguins"

Incredible views of the bay and penguin beach, with easy access to the viewing platform below the cottage. Cottage is well equipped, with all the tools needed for a braai. We had family round for a braai and they had a great time, with garden area for the kids and plenty of chairs. Beds are very comfortable and extra blankets are available. The cottage is secure and we felt safe during our stay.

I was staying with my elderly mom - accessibility is an issue, and there were several steps up to the cottage and a medium step up to the shower. Just something to note if you're concerned about mobility. Best to check beforehand.
