Bosky Dell on Boulders Beach

We absolutely loved our cottage on Boulders Beach! This is a small cottage inside a large property with 4/5 homes, all arranged around a beautiful well kept garden, facing the ocean. It has its own little private outdoor space with a table and 2 chairs, from which you can enjoy the views. Even though Boulders Beach is overcrowded, this place feels quiet and peaceful. You can walk down to Boulders Beach if you want to see the penguins (and the crowds) or you can walk 5 minutes more to another beach which is equally picturesque. The cottage has everything you need: a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor bbq, a beautiful bed with lush pillows and a gorgeous vintage style bathroom with tub. The house is on two floors with a small staircase leading to the bedroom/bathroom upstairs. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. There are 4 sweet beautiful dogs on the property that come and say hello in the morning:-) Loved that! Everything was perfect, thank you!!

Communication with the hosts before and during our stay was friendly and informative, always very responsive. They have two wonderfully trained dogs who come to say hi every now and then, but never intrude in your space or the house. We stayed in the main house which has 3 bedrooms. A beautiful and endearing renovated old house with lots of space, comfortable beds and the most breathtaking view from the porch where we spent most of our time. The location was amazing, just above Boulder's Beach....this was perfect for our 2 small kids who visited the penguins multiple times during our stay 🙂 Overall a wonderful experience which we would love to repeat again in the future.

An electric gate at the entrance of the property would be great since it's a bit uncomfortable to climb out (especially in the rain and/or dark) to unlock, open, close and lock again everytime. The kitchen racks need some attention, but we were told this was already planned for the near future. A washing machine would be a plus.

As soon as I saw Bosky Dell in Booking, I immediately fell in love. I left this cottage for the end of my vacation and it was the best way to end my trip. There is a warm and peaceful atmosphere here. I really loved drinking coffee in the morning and looking at the ocean. The cottage is beautiful both inside and out. And it matches the description and photos. You will really live next to penguins and hear their funny sounds. And the beach is absolutely gorgeous. The hosts will take the best care of you. You will receive personal and valuable recommendations, rather than a stupid standard set of well-known tourist destinations. I heartily recommend that you stay here!

The cottage is really beautiful and comfortable. The location, right next to Boulders beach, is exceptional. Definitely an amazing place to experience what Simon's Town has to offer.

Position and staff were excellent.

Absolutely stunning location overlooking Boulders Beach and the penguins. Our studio cottage had a beautiful large window where you can look over the entire bay. The cottage had everything we needed, and the outside garden patio and braai is lovely and secluded.

The opening and closing of the gate is a bit tricky if you have no one to help - it would be good to put a gate motor on. Sliding doors onto a covered deck / verandah on the studio cottage would make it perfect.

Location was perfect: peaceful and beautiful.

Amazing location. You need to like dogs if you stay here, but if you do, it's amazing playing with the dogs with incredible views of the beach and the penguins. If you stay here, make sure you visit the Hickory Shack for tasty food, beer and live music.
