A beautiful, quiet and peaceful location (of the local campers’ children don’t invade your pool) Pretty well equipped for a short stay Bathroom was great, so it’s a drop toilet...get over it, it all works great and no smells. You are in the country, what do you expect? Shower excellent, better than many decent hotels. BBQ unit worked fine and was clean.

Ok, so cooking - we need more than 1 x pan please! just a saucepan maybe? They could organise the cooking area better. Your feel a little vunerable there. Broken lock on central patio door. Basically its open to anyone who wants your stuff... Fine on good weather but not much protection off season or if very windy. For me as a birdwatcher - what a shame, it’s too overgrown in front of the verandah!. A little judicious cutting back of a couple of small trees would open the area out and make it better for humans and birds too. It is not a bird hide experience though, the birds because of the overgrowth are invisible and lost and there is little view as such. However the experience of sitting and listening to them was always lovely. HOWEVER. There is no wifi or mobile network coverage there for 3-4km. There were fires around WA as usual on our visit, but I did not see a SINGLE item of emergency info in the room. No evac plan, no map to guide you in the dark and smoke...A bush fire could sweep through and there may only be a handful of campers nearby. No one from the farm came to check on us and see how it was going and in an emergency, there is no way of contacting them other than to walk or drive 2km. This should be thought through and changed IMMEDIATELY.

It was unclean, it was deceptive, it was located on a hippie hemp farm, past a junk yard, there were spiders everywhere, the door didnt lock. Don't stay here.

Beautiful location - even if it's a bit hard to find in the dark. Wildlife was amazing, birds everywhere. Incredibly comfortable bed, and it was so peaceful. We will definitely be back.

Curtains could be a bit wider, we had to get pegs to hold them together in the corners for privacy. There were quite a few bugs and spiderwebs when we got in, just in the corners and the like. Maybe owners could provide some mosquito coils, as we had to find some in town before we could sit outside.

The location above the river is amazing. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the river and the trees was so serene. The architecture of the house itself was lovely too, especially with the glass.

It is not a ‘don’t like’ but the fact it doesn’t have a proper kitchen or small kitchenette can put some people off. If we had stayed for longer it might have been more inconvenient. However, it was perfect for what we needed.

We loved this remote little getaway and will definitely be back! It is off grid with a Nature loo, right on the Blackwood river .. what better way to immerse yourself in nature! Good to get there before dark as it’s a bit of a windy off road track but worth it! Xx
