It is a beautiful quiet location by the river and while we were there we saw no one else. Unfortunately behind the cottage was a mass of weeds and rubble. Has the feeling of a 3 star Glamping experience. All the required cutlery and crockery. The non-flush toilet is not a problem if you follow instructions.

On the way in part of the long drive is through bush and past a plantation, but there is a building site and rubbish elsewhere.

The tranquility of the forest and the fast running river

Poor signage to property, no heating on first night, outside bathroom facilities. The air conditioning (heating) was non-existent on our first day - we managed to check the filters which were clogged with dirt and dust - after cleaning, the conditioner began to perform as it should.

Sehr romantisch. Tolle Umgebung.

Extrem schlechte ungeteerte Straßen. Sehr schlecht lesbare Schilder obwohl total abgelegen und schwer zu finden. Eiskaltes Zimmer mit schlechten Bettdecken.

Bed very comfortable and lovely setting on the banks of the river

The road in was washed out in places and pot-holed. Not possible to walk anywhere e.g. along river, as too much over growth of bush. Poor lighting in the room.

Good site on the river but not really designed for cold, dark, stormy, rainy winter days as relies on outdoor verandah area for living. Would be fine in spring or summer.

Sent 7 emails/phone messages asking two questions. Finally got email answering only one when we were already on the road. Nowhere to relax inside when we arrived in a storm as lounge is on verandah . Towels and sheets smelt very rank, were put on bed damp I suggest. Only bedside wall lights so too dark to read/draw and see what you’re eating. Heating couldn’t cope with the cold. Rain comes onto the area between the main room and the toilet/shower and we got wet toileting at night as stormy. Gas for cooker ran out and again left message but no response! Long life milk in fridge was nearly 3 months out of date.

Very nice and on the river

What an exquisite place located next to the Blackwood River. I will never forget the view and gentle sound of the river from my bed and the verandah. So beautiful and peaceful. It's only 15mins out of Nannup,
