Milemeleni Guesthouse

We arrived late (around 8:00 in the evening) but immediately there was someone to help us. They even made dinner for us!!! So we could eat just when we arrived! So kind. And the food is amazing!! We stayed for 4 nights!! Firts booked 3 nights, but because we liked this place so much we booked one extra!! For real: go to this place!! Jackson is de host and he is awesome!!! He helps with literally everything. He told us about some politics, history, the nice places around en he made contact with busdrivers/taxi drivers/ guides for us. All i can say is that Jackson is an amazing guy/host, the nature is beyond beautiful here, and the food is so good. Samsa made breakfast and dinner every day and she kept suprising us with the local, vegetarian meals!! Oh and the matress of the bed was very good as well :) Thankyou Samsa, Jackson and Mirage (night guard) for making our stay so comfortabel!

Milemeleni was the best experience! Jackson the owner are so welcoming, helpsome and makes you feel so comfortable. The food is so great, with a Nice view. Thanks for such a plesant stay, would love to come back

Its a bit far from town, but a Nice Walk so not really a problem

Host took care of everything, even got my broken motorbike repaired while I was hiking. Can only recommend staying with Jackson!

Fantastic place! It’s located in the forest. Quiet and peaceful. Perfect if you want a break from the city. Delicious food for breakfast and dinner cooked by the owners, which was served on their nice terrace outside in front of the rooms.

It’s a 30 minutes walk to lushoto.

Jackson and Shamsa were amazing and did all their best to make our stay more than comfortable. With everything we had in mind we could ask and were helped. The food was delicious and the place is quiet and in midst of nature.

We had a lovely stay at Milemeleni! As everyone says, Jackson is wonderful and make sure you are well taken care of. The place is outside of town- a little bit of a hike- but it’s a beautiful and peaceful area. And yes, the dinners are delicious!

Had an awesome time with Jackson and his small team! He did everything possible to arrange a hiking tour, organise a birthday cake and evening drinks! The guesthouse is close to "town" (approx. 2000tsh by motorbike), but not too deep into the villages :)

On checkout, only cash payments were accepted which is not very comfortable for foreign travellers.

Very very nice and cozy rooms. At Milemeleni Guesthouse we found the very friendly host Jackson who is always cheerful and helpful to his guests. He also helps if you want to organize some activities in the Usambara mountains. Shamsa cooks fabulous vegetarian local dishes which we enjoyed incredible. We can recommend it without any doubts.

A warm and friendly welcome, nice breakfasts and diners, great guides for a hiking tour through the green surroundings.
