Milemeleni Guesthouse

Jackson the host was very gracious and knowledgeable about local agriculture and economy. Beautiful for hiking if you have time. They prepared a tasty vegetarian meal. It was a beautiful location, comfortable beds and cool weather in the mountains. Hot showers.

In the cold season leave plenty of time for the water heater to work before showering (two hours).

We had a great stay and were very well looked after by the very helpful and friendly staff (led by Jackson). Stunning breakfast with fresh fruit and omelettes, local doughnut with lovely hot cups of chai and coffee. Rooms are clean but basic with very hot showers etc. On request they can also do tasty evening meals. We walked to the local village in 5mins and to Lushoto in around 20 mins. Taxi about 10,000 shillings. We did some great hiking with some stunning viewpoints and really enjoyed the friendly nature of the local people. Very good value for money.

Jackson is an amazing manager and person! The vegetarian food was gorgeous and plentiful!

Hospitality and kindness of the host

All was perfect!

The stay was very nice. Jackson is a wonderful host with a big heart, that's how I felt. Sensational food, you should definitely enjoy the food one night. bend there to eat. Breakfast is also great. The lodge is in the middle of the forest and is super quiet and peaceful. Located close to Lushoto, no wifi, you should enjoy that. Read a book, listen to the sounds of the jungle and relax. You can walk to the village or take a motorcycle, it's not far.

The staff are lovely and the bedrooms clean. The breakfast provided was delicious.

This is no fault of the guesthouse but it is very hard to find (don't trust google maps). We had to pay a piki in the end to hide us there. There are not mosquito nets provided and we were bitten during the night.

We had a lovely stay at Milemeleni Guesthouse. Jackson immediately made us feel at home and helped us plan a daytrip to the waterfalls and viewpoint. Both breakfast and vegeterian dinner were also great. perfect place to relax, read a book and enjoy nature.
