We loved the lodge. The accomodation was comfortable and warm and we had everything we needed. The breakfast and dinners were exceptional and there was a nice variety of dishes to choose from.

We were disappointed that the Lodge didn't offer transport to and back from the Game Reserve. The rate for a game drive was steep, considering we still had to get ourselves to the Park.

Rebecca and Themba really made the weekend memorable. Bedrooms were comfortable and food was good

The coffee was cold. The light in the alcove for the family room, was a bit dim

Everything. Staff were amazing, friendly, extremely accommodating especially Leslie. Would give it 5 stars

The serenity. The staff the animals. Perfect vacation spot. Will definitely go again on my next visit.

"we loved the river Lodge"

we had a wonderful time at the River Lodge and highly recommend it. great location, close to the Hluhluwe park north gate. fantastic staff, very helpful - they gave us a lot great recommendations and booked a few for us. shoot out to Ockert (and his dog) Skona for their kindness and availability. the food is amazing - breakfast and supper were delicious. the rooms are spacious and well equipped, very comfy. great mattress.

"it was OK , expected more. I visit SA 3-4 times/year"

Remote, very atmospheric in some areas

Access was bad and there is no warning , we could have been stuck at night the lake view is very far away Hluhluwe park is some distance and takes a long time in really bad roads
