Canyon Jungle Stay

A decent stay, the cottages are really nice from the outside. The inside looks like it could use a little upgrade. The shower was hot which was nice. The location is close to the canyon but an uphill walk to get to the city centre

The food really needs improving. Once we asked for fried rice and we were told there wasn't any rice. The next morning we asked for banana pancakes and we were told there weren't bananas. Also the taste wasn't amazing, especially of the pancakes. The prices are really affordable though

This place is simply amazing. The garden is beautiful and the location is fantastic. The room has all you need + hot water :-) The family that owns the place are so warm, wonderful and welcoming that you feel right at home as soon as you arrive. Ronis helped with transport both from the bus from Medan and bus to Padang. I simply cannot recommend Canyon Jungle Stay enough. I was sad to leave and hope to come back again.

Location is nearby to town. Just a small kelok to reach. Room is clean and spacious.

The breakfast is a bit late 7.30-8.00 am, while we start moving at 6.30 am on most days. Subuh is at 5am and sunrise is at 6.00am. No tea or coffee or kettle in the room either for good coffee and tea break.

Couldn’t recommend here enough, I love the atmosphere of staying in the jungle, I even saw some monkeys in the morning. The breakfast in the morning is delicious, the staff are all so warm and friendly, comfortable bed, and not to mention the hot water in the shower! I also couldn’t get enough of the cats that live here & also the bunny rabbits.

The ambiance and surroundings was what I looked up to. And it sure reached my expectation. I love how they designed the rooms like old Minangkabau architecture.

The bathroom was a lil bit uncomfortable but it was bearable.
