Tree House Lodge

Wonderful people.

Nicely located away from the noise of the railway. Friendly staff. The room is a good size and clean but there is a horrid damp smell throughout. Great view from the balcony. Walls are very thin and you can hear the adjoining rooms. Breakfast was so small. Fine for a quick overnighter.

The property was clean and convenient. The staff was very helpful when it came to our questions and just making sure we were well informed for our trip to Machu Picchu.

Staff was amazing. Couldn't leave reception without smile 😊 Really good breakfast too! Room we had was great, small balcony and shower with hot water. I hope I can visit again in future!

The room was clean and we liked the layout with the bathtub in the room, the brakfast was good and staff was welcoming and very helpful. They picked us up from the train station. It is romantic and rustic, like sleeping in a real treehouse but better! We were able to leave our bags there after checkout, just observe that those will not be locked in, do not leave valuables. Perfect for a 1-2 night stay if you are looking for a rustic and romantic stay out of the ordinary.

I guess the wood has just been treated with something so the room was smelling a lot like woodtreatment, we were only staying one night but all our clothes had the smell on them after this night. Wifi was not working that great since we stayed in the highest treehouse. It was romantic and rustic. One needs to be careful when it is raining since the stonestaircases and all the wood gets slippery. Perfect for a romatic getaway. Maybe not too funtional for families with small kids or elder people.

The place seemed nice from the photos and one of the rooms has a beautiful view, the receptionist was also nice but unfortunately the place is covered in toxic mold that made me very sick and I ruined my vacation. I would feel bad if people would keep going there and getting sick. Plus there was some sewage dump near the room causing a disgusting smell and the stairs to get there are absolutely hard to climb even for a healthy and strong person who regularly hikes and works out.
