Kingfisher Lodge with Hot Tub

The location was ideal. It was local to amenities. It was spacious. It was clean .. It had everything you required for a perfect break.

A restaurant or bar facility.

Very clean and well equipped.

One side of the jacuzzi didn’t work but as there was only two of us it wasn’t a big deal.

It is a lovely property in a beautiful location and close to places such as castle Howard and flamingo land.

There were a couple of aspects of the property that let it down. The lamp in the bedroom my young daughter was staying in had a broken bulb inside which could have been a hazard had we not removed it. We found 2 pieces of glass in the hot tub on the first day while we were in it. Luckily these were only small and we removed them. One of the handles on the window was also broken.

The lodge was unfortunately unclean I had to washing the dinner pots as there was still food left on them in the cupboards

The cabin was lovely and spacious and also very clean. The hot tub was lovely and lots of space outside. The main bed was to die for - it was so comfortable! Bathrooms were a great size with a shower and a bath. Great heating too (was a bit nippy still) Was a gorgeous place to relax and enjoy some quiet time. Kitchen great lots of counter space. Had a trip into Malton which is only 3 miles down the road. Lovely little town. We will for certain be coming back!

The facilities in the kitchen could be a tiny bit better, more mugs rather than small cups (I love a mug of coffee on a morning) and a few more glasses. I’m a home bird so I was cooking in the cabin but it only had 1 baking try and no frying pan so making a brekkie was a bit difficult, maybe a role of foil or cling film in the drawer would be good also! But not everyone likes to cook when they go away! Maybe an extra bin bag would have been good. We will be visiting again so I know to bring these things next time.

Nice and warm

Presented lovely, nice and clean, loved the hot tub.

The cooker (oven) is ridiculously loud when you are using it. Beds could be comfier, pillows were quite flat.

The Lodge was excellent very clean & hot tub lovely & warm on arrival

Our only disappointment was the boiler developed a fault & couldn't get hold of anyone to rectify the problem. So we could not get bathed before heading off to a christening 😢
