Value for money was great with the size of suite provided. As a family of 4, we had plenty of space (much needed with a hormonal preteen). Very comfortable king size beds. Loved that we were surrounded by forest and it was so peaceful, with great walks nearby. Hot tub was everything we needed it to be although some more options for light outside would be good. We had deer right outside the back door on our first morning which was incredible to see. We loved our time here and would stay here again. We will be recommending to friends and family.

There are some little things that could have made the stay better. A sweeping brush, or dustpan and brush would be great for the kitchen areas and I agree with other people that a fence of some kind at the back, even a low one so you still have great views (not just on each side of the suite) would help- with privacy whilst in the hot tub, but also because we had an issue with the dog from two rooms along running onto our decking area repeatedly, giving my 6 year old a fright (and she likes dogs, we had our own dog with us, so I can see that this would be alarming to someone who isn't as keen on dogs)

Lodge and location nice and peaceful,it had everything to cater for us to have a nice time. Was clean fresh and tidy. Had lovely time away. Loved having hot tub.

There was no staff on arrival or about for the few days that we were there. They stated on their website there was a bar and restaurant but to find out once we got there via a book in the lodge that the bar and restaurant was closed for the days that we were there. Which was disappointing as was planning on taking my partner out for a romantic meal but could not. Last thing when looking at the lodge on website thought the lodge was on its own it find no it wasn't there was about half a dozen all joined together.

Plenty of space inside the cabin. Very clean. Hot tub was nice & clean. Nice walk area.

Not a stand alone cabin as I thought when I booked. I wish I'd asked this before going ahead and booking. Noisy neighbours (walls are paper thin please bare this in mind!!) Ended up having to let my 2 teenage daughters sleep in with me due to noise coming from next door. Luckily there was only 3 of us there. But sharing a double bed with them didn't exactly provide descent sleep. The neighbours to the other side were shouting the following day so the relaxing chilled atmosphere in the hot tub wasn't exactly quiet and tranquil. The hot tub not fenced off. Felt exposed as it was like butlins chalets one after the other with a small fence in-between neighbours but the back exposed for anyone to walk past. We weren't able to lock main door as they need access to an electric cupboard in the hallway. The internal door locked but didn't feel it was secure. Off putting smell in the entrance area as we walked in door. All in all it wasn't what we expected. Pleasant enough and well looked after inside, but it depends what you're looking for. I've stayed in cabins 5 times previously and not experienced what I did here it's not log cabins its more chalets.

stunning property . couldn’t fault anything other than the small detail of no washing up liquid. everything else was completely perfect .

No washing up liquid for dishes . The dishes were dirty so we had to use the hand wash to clean them before . then we ran out of the hand wash so we couldn’t wash all of the ones we used unfortunately.

The location was quiet and still just what we needed I requested champagne & rose petals in the room as it was my wife's 50th birthday and our 10th wedding anniversary but there was nothing in the room I got my money returned after contacting them by email to find them discussing it between themselves at the bar then asking what room we were in and not apologise to us directly or even offering us a drink on the house for the mix up but other than that we enjoyed the stay 👍👍

The main thing we liked about the property was the comfy bed, very friendly staff in the bar-Debbie & Tony were so welcoming and really looked after us during our stay

not enough cutlery in the property as they are self catering lodges, but I’m sure if we had asked for some off of Debbie she would have gave us some, also would be good if the bar offered bar snacks/meals as it would probably keep visitors in the bar for longer and hence spend more money in the bar

overall cleanliness and comfort was exceptional. lovely layout and scenery.

the only downfall if I was being picky is it would be good if the bar, restaurant served meals etc earlier in the day to save travelling if you’ve not brought enough with you.
